Cap'n Cow was the band that died so The Shets could live. Cap'n Cow consisted of two members, Gregg and Jeremy. Their sound was much like early Shets, which means that it was loud and obnoxious, chaotic and completely horrible. They released one album, the whereabouts of which is unknown. Occasionally, the two still get together, as Jeremy went to the band, The Manners, who was him and occasionally Gregg, Tony, Pat, and "Bob" (originally Jeremy, Mr. Shores, and the man we call Patrick). On a Manners b-side called "The Rambling Song", it's rumored that the strange bottle noises in the background are being made by none other than Gregg. These rumors are probably true. Despite the fact that the Manners are dead, Jeremy still plays music under the name of Trees Grow Jobs. Of course, Cap'n Cow is a band that emerged from the ashes of the band Mister Faded Glory, which consisted of Jason Payne(vocals), Gregg (bass), and Jeremy (guitar). Of course, before that, there was the band we HAD called "Wood", consisting of all the members of MFG and Andrew DuLac (drums, some guitar). We'd decided to change the name once we found out that someone else had already used it, but before we changed it, DuLac was forced to leave the band, thus leading the remaining members to form MFG. After MFG fell apart, Cap'n Cow formed to keep a musical outlet open for Carson and Rector. The two parted ways musically, as Cap'n Cow was nothing more than a one-time thing. Once Cap'n Cow's music died (the two still use the name because...well, they feel like it) Gregg started playing with Tony, first for something to do, then, once Tony started getting pretty good with the ol' guitar, more seriously. Jeremy went on to play with himself for a while (I'm referring to musically playing with himself. If I were referring to the OTHER "playing with himself", I'd have to say that everyone is still doing that. Ahem. Anyway...) and eventually wound up with Mr. Shores and Patrick, then to the reconfigured Manners, then FB3 (with Gregg, Tony, Pat, and "Bob"), then finally, to Trees Grow Jobs. And that's...the rest of the...oh, nevermind. That's all. May the Cow be with you.

Your loving friend,
Gregg 1
