"They"
Disclaimer ********** All Fiction, Location: Ottawa, Shane is 18 and a very local celebrity (hope that made sense) o and its very cliche , a lot like a walk to remember Chapter 1, Introduction to character 18 year old Christina Williams, better known as "Chris", was at the peek of her popularity, which for her of course, meant a few more friends than usual.Presently Chris is attending Lisgar Collegiate for her senior year, along with many others who were in the same school since kindergarten. Chris waved a piece of Hawaiian pizza and balanced a cordless phone in her left hand and a pen in her right, completely ignoring her grandmothers excessive "are you there?" ,She continued filling in the quiz, the magnificently bold colored writing read. *find your physical match, in just 50 seconds!*, she filled it in, dabbing the blue pen on her tongue to revive it after every word. Weight: 110 pounds Hair colour: Brown with auburn streaks Eye colour: Honey almost gold Height: 5,7" "Dammit, not me, me and white trash?" Chris blurted as she uncovered her result, seeing a familiar face. Chris devoured her pizza releasing flavor and juices from the pineapple, then ignorantly returned her attention to her grandmother, Jenny's lecture. It was she who caught Chris fooling around with last week's fling and she who promised not to tell her strict parents, but every favor comes with a price or flattery. "Okay, yes grandma, never again grandma", Chris apologized melodramatically "I've decided to play my role in society all I am the youth of the nation who knows I could be a prime minister? Any who I volunteered for a senior care center" Informed Chris innocently, evident of buttering up. Chris brushed the crumbs off her lap, dabbed a napkin to the corners of her mouth and prepared to go to school. "Ok, Nan? Gotta go to school, I have a presentation and can't be late! Luv ya, bye", She kissed the receiver and ran out the door. Chapter 2, October 12 Chris plunged her hand into the highly fasionable reticule that hung from her broad shoulders and pulled out her unnormally large ghetto cellphonr. Her friends, the little she had liked to call it "big Sucka". "Hay Genivita" She said monotonously in her routine phonecall. Geni is her foreign friend from lithuania who had moved to ottawa this semester, she could barely talk English, hand gestures were her specilaty and much prefered by anyone who couldn't understand her original pronunciations. If you had heard her you'd think she created her own language, an ununderstandable English. It wasn't odd though because she knew what Geni had wanted to say, the silent words were unsaid but not unthought. Chris walked up to house number 26 of row 5, one of the plenty similar townhouses of plenty townhouse sections. Chris knocked on the door and politely stepped out of the door windows view, a few years back when she was a curious kid, she sometimes for her own amusement she watched the house owners....... The bulky Lithuanian grandmother or grandfather answered the door with a quick few hand gestures she/he motioned, "Come sit down on our park bench" or maybe a polite, "Get out of my house". The grandmother/grandfather took Chris' hands and led her to the living room where she sat down cross legged and closed her eyes, Chris did the same. The grandparent who was now obviously a grandmother looked up and gave her a head tilted crooked grin, then nodded her head excessively in a short period of time, like a child pleading praise from its mother. To be continued ..........
