Author's Note/Explanation:  I am still steaming over the possiblity that the producers will leave us with the show as is!   Argh!   I want a solution!   Who can we bug with a groundswell of interest to at least get Rayden out of OutWorld????   I mean, you can't have the bad guy win!   You just can't!   Well, you can in the game, but that's what reset buttons are for -- oh no.   I feel another short idiocy coming on!

Shao Kahn raised his arm.

The world shimmered, shifted and Rayden found himself walking a familiar trail.

He stopped.  He frowned.  He was wrapped in a tattered cloak over his familiar blue and white garb.  He looked around.  Just ahead of him there was a tall, broadshouldered man stalking down the trail away from him, a travel bag slung across his shoulders, his middling brown hair blowing back slightly from his face.  This was familiar.  Of course.  Siro.  He was here to --  The world swayed around him and settled in again.  Deja vu.  This had all happened before.  Rayden shifted ahead of the walking ex-guard.

"So.  You're leaving.  Just like that."  He had said this before, hadn't he?  He had been here before -- or had he?

He convinced Siro to return to Zhou Zhin.

Still, somewhere in the back of his mind, there was a sense of unreality, of unease, of deja vu.

Elsewhere, unseen, unknown:

"If you hit the reset one more time!" the elder of two youngsters bellowed at the younger.

"The bad guys don't win," came the beligerent response, his mouth set in a firm line.  "And that's that."
