Note Number One:  Familiarity with previous fanfic series by either author is not necessary in order to read this series.  If that familiarity exists, however, then the authors wish the readers to understand that  this series, like Grace's  Debts of Love series and Deb's  Birthright series, takes place in a separate "universe" from eithe of those series-fics.

Note Number Two:  As the readers might have noticed, the name used for the Sorceress in the aforementioned fic-series is not the same as the one used in this one.  This is because the author, compassionate and self- sacrificing soul that she is, has chosen to create more confusion for herself in order to create  less confusion for you, the readers.  Why less confusing?  Because the Sorceress' past in this series is  not that which was established in either  DOL or  BR -- so don't anyone throw a fit when the author diverges from it.  <g>  In other words: this series truly is a whole new kettle of fish.  And my, what  big fish they're turning out to be!  I couldn't even finish writing them during the season in which they were created!  ;-)

Note Number Three:  Continuing the above "disclaimer" . . .   This series' "universe" occurs separate from the story-arc set up as of the episode "Valhalla."  That episode is not acknowledged, and neither is "The Guardian" (which I rather suspect was aired out of order, but made no sense anyway so I'm ignoring that one too).  Like the  Debts of Love series by Grace, this series begins as of the episode "Circle of Life;" it started fermenting even before "Riddle of the Nymph" aired, but it will not ignore that arc . . .  "The Chameleon," "Minotaur," and "The Slayer" will likewise be referred to later -- but after that, it's a free-for-all.  <g>

Note Number Four:  Please read the note re: episode timeline rearrangement at the top of each story.  We suggest that readers of this story series just take  The Sorceress' Daughter as a  totally different  BeastMaster: The Series reality.  Which really isn't so hard to do, considering the difficulty the official writers (except for Dawn Ritchie, for some reason) seem to have in maintaining any semblance of continuity in events.  Logic is a  good thing, guys.  ::attempting a sweet smile and sincerely wishing Dawn was still on staff, given what I've seen of Season 2::

Note Number Five:  Grace's thanks once again to Deb for the creation of, and permission to use, the character of Pelagia.  All evilness regarding the Sorceress, her past and the involvement of the Ancient One is (again, for the most part in this case) attributable to Grace's muses.  She suspects they have rather twisted minds -- and they are way too fond of the CD "Come Clean" by Curve.  And finally, our congratulations and thanks to Grahame Bond and Steven Grives for making their characters the well-done bad guys that they are -- it makes it SO psychologically rewarding for us to kick Zad's and the Ancient One's asses in our fic.  ::grin and wink::

Final Note:  The name Atylanta comes from the Greek myth of Atalanta, a proud young woman who refused to marry anyone but the man who could best her in a footrace -- an impossible task -- only to get tricked into losing by a few shiny baubles laid in her way.  (Yes, that is a summary, and a biased one.  Sue me.  ;-))
