This beautiful Senegal baby is almost ready to go to his or her new home. Senegal Parrots are a smaller African parrot that are generally quieter, so are suitable for apartment life. Senegals can learn to talk but are not generally known as being really good talkers. This baby will have a vivid orange belly when s/he matures.
We have two adorable Blue and Gold Macaw babies that should be ready to go home by early to mid Febrary '06. They are fun loving and very socialble. Macaws can learn to speak quite well, and can live 75 years or more with proper care. They are large birds so require a good size cage. They have "puppy dog" type of personalities and make wonderful pets with the proper training. They have a higher need for fat in their diet, so fresh nuts in the shell should be a regular part of their diet.
This is an older picture of this baby, I'll post a new one soon. The baby is about 7 weeks old right now (3 wks old in the pic) and should be ready to go home mid to late February '06. The Timneh is smaller than his Congo cousin & has a burgundy tail and bone colored top beak. They have the same talking ability & pet potential as the Congo, at a lower price. We've raised many Timneh babies & they are sweet, loving and enjoy toys & being part of the family.
This baby is very, very social and will make a good pet for anyone, including a child with adult supervision. Whiteface Cockatiels do not have the orarnge cheek patch that is seen on the normal cockatiel. Besides this baby, we have two more Whiteface Grey cockatiels that were recently weaned. Cockatiels are very gentlea and easy to care for. Males can learn to talk & whistle, females usually do not talk but also make wonderful pets!
This is a six month old Cinnamon Pearl hen cockatiel. She has lovely coloring, and comes from excellent breeding stock. She has become a little flighty so would probably do better as a breeder, or would take a little time to hand tame again. We also have her clutchmate available, he is a male Cinnamon split to pearl, and would also do best as a breeder. His price is $65.
