Sherrill Fulghum
I began my writing career while I was still in college.  I started out by writng  news bites from press kits.  As a music journalist I love it as much now as I did then.  I have also co-authored a book on the history of Cengregation Beth Hamedrish - Beth Israel.  More recently, I have added photography to my list of skills.  My portfolio includes over  1,700 items - editorials, articles, features, CD reviews, news bites, etc -published  as well as some of my photos.
My photo work has also won me two awards and has been displayed in galleries.
I not only work as a writer and photographer, I also enjoy doing them very much.  I also enjoy music a great deal so it was a natural progression to combine them all.   I am a water child and love to be in or near the water.

Other Comments
I had the opportunity and joy to sit in and play percussion with the house band at a pub in Rochester, New York.  I had a great time.  When I played or sang with the Irish Musicians orat Golden Link (folk singing group), I had a lot of fun.  I love being around music.  If I have to perform on stage, I get terrified.  When I lived in Rochester, I was a regular participant in Irish and folk songing circles.

The first time I ever participated in a press conference, it was with  Dr.Carl Sagan.  Truly an initiation by fire.  I was terrified, but near the end of the press conference I finally got the nerve to ask a question of Dr. Sagan; and he told me it was a good questiion and he was glad that I had asked it. I was greatly relieved.
