We sit cuddled and make plans for what is yet to come
Ponder certain things we want and what we'd like achieved
We'd love to plan a cruise, Caribbean Islands sounds like fun
Spending time with the one we love and let pressures be relieved
Maybe a repeat of wedding vows, second service and all the trims
Watch with love as she descends the isle like she did those years ago
But with much more adoraton for she's filled my heart to brim
All the love and the joy since our first kiss has continued to grow
Then perhaps a small mountain cabin, for our honeymoon retreat
Nestled deeply in the pine trees, gentle winds serenade our sleep
With a secluded lake where we can relax, play and soak our feet
Could even relive part of our youth with our clothes all in a heap
Even as we make these plans sealed with touch and loving look
Memories of past dreams lost fill our minds with measured hope
The dreams we've dreamt were promises, enough to fill a book
Yet many fell to the wayside as with real life we were forced to cope
But there were no regrets for the promises we were unable to fulfill
As with the plans for the future, the wish is as important as the deed
Just to know we'd plan it together, is the most important part of the thrill
So we will sit together hand in hand as our partner's dreams we heed
It's all a part of love and life, it consummates the joining of two souls
We reminisce of other times in life when we on memories had to borrow
To ensure our love keeps growing strong and our future remains whole
As long as we're together our lives will be lived for yesteday's tomorrow.
