That has suffered the tarnish
Of dirt and discolored varnish
We are like a painting
All soiled by guilt and sin
Only God's restoration
Can effect our transformation
Without His expertise
You can't clean your own canvas
You'll find despair and frustration
In a "do-it-yourself" restoration

To clean the canvas of our souls
By His blood He will cleanse us
