Sad Santa

In a frayed
red suit with
fur turned brown,
he stands in a
corner ringing a
rusty bell.
His eyes are
hallow and empty
there was a time
when he waited on
Santa as a boy,
but that was a war
ago in another world.
Now he is Santa because it's
his minimum wage job.
From a cheerless heart
he trys to create cheer
for those who pass.
He needs a kind word,
smile, and a gift of kindness.
He needs to be visited
by Santa once again.
Perhaps YOU could
be his Santa?
