I understand I am a child of God I say to myself when I am blue That God is with me to see me through. <> I dream a multitude of dreams and one is always in my mind Angels all around me flying high in the mist of time. <> I try to fly with them so I can see God's Face But I never get the chance. <> I hope that in my dreams that he will shine his love upon me and let me see what I seek. <> I am his child and I know he wants me to be happy. <> In my dreams I wish that I could see him but once reality sink in I am disappointed for I never see the face that I seek. <> I feel that someday, maybe not now that God will let me see his face. <> I touch his hands and I hear him tell me everything will be alright but I worry that he will always be out of my sight. <> I cry because, his face is what I seek <> I feel lonely when he is not in my presence and I always wonder where he might be I hear him calling my name but my dreams never stay the same. <> I want to see his face even if it's only in a dream but for now I'll just keep dreaming, hoping, and praying that someday, I will see "God's Face" Penned by, Sherri Emily Avery North Carolina (c) copyright, 2000 (all rights reserved) |
