There's an ornament on my Christmas tree,
This year there will be two,
Signifying your love for me,
And also my love for you.
600 miles away there's another tree,
Surrounded by a different family,
Two ornaments hang from that tree too,
Constant reminders of love so true.
Christmas came early again for us this year,
Cause when the actual day arrives we can't be near,
So far from each other we celebrate this day,
Wishing somehow there could be another way.
So when December 25th finally comes,
We share with others that we love,
But we will be wearing our presents to each other
All reminders of,
Someone far away that has our heart and soul,
This night it's us for whom the bells toll.
