Braveheart

A veiled tapestry falls,
over a heart dwelling in a pearl castle,
half-mast eyes view a dream,
moist,
waiting,
and petals from every rose
shape wind shadows
and they drift there,
and nights of perfection,
not yet realized,
fill the air.

A voice sounds,
from a warrior,
strong,
a braveheart,
a lover,
and rivulets of need
pool in his eyes,
as his soul travels
over clove red fields,
across mountains,
to the gathering of seagulls,
to rest among a choir
of mourning doves.

He prepares for her,
his eyes blacken with desire,
his voice deepens
and life renews itself,
for one purpose,
one moment.
one time
one lady fair.

He approaches her castle,
encased in pearl,
inlaid with gold,
and his heart shatters
with a vision as he raises his sword,
and cries......
   Freedom!
Release yourself!
Let your heart flutter with the breeze,
give me the courage of a thousand
warriors,
to speak to an empty horizon,
calling forth rose,
and lavender,
to match the sapphire
gaze of my eyes,
let it be my gift to you,
allowing an entrance.

The veil lifts,
as the promise of an
early horizon fills her.
Tears dry,
petals live again,
and beneath his gaze,
the edges around her soften.
Shei is fashioned to perfection,
and she realizes
his battle cry has pierced
her militant spirit.

A cry full of poet's dreams,
bonds with another,
and through his words,
the strength of his verse,
the blood stained lines,
his love chisels through every stanza
as he reaches her.

At that moment
she knows,
love,
passion,
desire,
abandon,
and felicity,
as she answers
his cry for her freedom.
