The following are logic puzzles that many around the world have tested their brain power to solve. Note that these type of questions may be extremely difficult and are designed to be very tough. 1) A recycling factory makes its own paper cups for canteen use. It can make one new cup from nine used ones. If it has 505 used cups how many can it possibly make in total ?

2) I am a fire. Change one letter and I am a knife. Change another letter and I am a clearing. Change another letter and I am a rank. Change one final letter and I am a fruit. What was I and what did I become ?

3) Two clocks were correct at midnight but then one began to gain four minutes every hour. It stopped one and a half hours ago showing 4:48 pm. The clocks run for less than 24 hours.  What time will the other clock be showing ?

5) During a recent school trip to the zoo, I was sat at the rear of the bus. I noticed a strange thing, Laura, Jessica and Wendy were all sitting on the left side of the bus. 8) A customer at a 7-11 store selected four items to buy, and was told that the cost was $7.11. He was curious that the cost was the same as the store name, so he enquired as to how the figure was derived. The clerk said that he had simply multiplied the prices of the four individual items. The customer protested that the four prices should have been ADDED, not MULTIPLIED. The clerk said that that was OK with him, but, the result was still the same: exactly $7.11. What were the four prices?

9) Everything Mr Red owns is red, he lives in a red bungalow and his chairs are red, his tables are red. His ceiling, walls and floor are all red. All of his clothes are red, his shoes are red, even his carpet, television and phone are red. What colour are his stairs?

10) Whoever makes it, tells it not. Whoever takes it, knows it not. And whoever knows it, wants it not. What is it?

11) An electric train travelled from London due North to Manchester, at exactly 60 miles per hour. There was a strong wind blowing from the East at exactly 30 miles per hour. In which direction did the smoke blow?
