Some did use the fact that Elie Wiesel did clap today to try to bolster support for President Bush’s policies, but I would tell thee that there were a number of things which President Bush did say that did not set well with Elie – and considering what Elie did say in his 1986 acceptance speech, when was he awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, concerning the plight of the Palestinians and the need to talk with them, verily it is that in his Right mind Elie would certainly not support John McCain’s policy of not to talk. Choose to see.

 

Even was it Right and True of Barack Obama to note that talks between America and Russia did lead to negation of the Cuban missile threat, and even should he have added that Ronald Reagan’s further talks with Russia did not only lead to steps toward disarmament but toward implementing a new and democratic government and finding lasting solutions to peace by something of faithful design – and so John’s rant against Obama’s talk of speaking with the leaders of Iran and of Cuba is ignorant, even as it would have been ignorant not to try to talk to China and North Korea, but to get back to Remembrance in Elie’s work…

 

Elie Wiesel was one of the Jews held captive in the Nazi concentration camps, and after watching his mother and sister burn to death he did question the very existence of God – and it was awhile before he came around to Right thinking and did finally resign himself to the fact that God doth exist, but what I would point out of his 1986 speech is that he did compare the plight of the Palestinians to the same criminal and inhumane manner in which Jews were hoarded into concentration camps. Elie was sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians, as are many Jews, and was one of many who did call for Right resolve to come to the hearts and minds of Jewish leaders. And it be Set upon Jewish leaders today to look back at what Elie did say and reconsider their actions toward the people of Palestine, both in the West Bank and Gaza, well-knowing that had the Jews been able they would have fought against the Nazis in the 1940’s even as have Palestinians fought back since the creation of the nation of Israel hoarded them into refugee camps. Granted, they were not treated nearly so badly as were the Jews under the Nazis, but surely ye can see mine meaning. And surely most Palestinians can see that the door is open and there is here a light at the end of the tunnel, and that the need to fight must give way to the need for peaceable means.

The gunman who today killed some 8 worshippers and wounded dozens more in a mosque in Kohal, Yemen, shall be Punished. A mosque is a place to worship, not to kill, and violence is Forbidden there, and so even the one who did leave the booby-trapped motorcycle outside the mosque and kill 18 worshippers as they were leaving shall find that his place is in hell. And certainly the Gaza militant who hit Ashkelon’s shopping center with a rocket and seriously injured several innocent bystanders is Condemned, for in such he did violate the Covenant of Peace.

It is said some 40,000 workers were driven off farms in the first week of May in an effort to keep them from voting for the opposition in the runoff election – and I give it unto the mujaheedan to see it was unfair and to know they have a duty to see to the fall of Mugabe.

Aye, and again a deadly virus and worse, deadly quakes, are plaguing the Chinese, brought on by the perdition of their leaders. Of those who did lose their lives in such the innocent are safe in heaven, and the corrupt are awaiting Judgment; and yea, it’s about time that mountain moved. But I was well-pleased to see the government’s response to the quakes. What Sharon Stone did say today of China and karma was True, but truly Wen Jiabao, the Premier, is genuinely concerned for his people: and I have hoped his heart can help restore Right meaning to the dragon. And Wen hath learned something more of the lessons of life today, where schools, children and corrupt officials are concerned: and as some 2,000 troops sought to repair Zipingpu dam, which had been damaged by the quakes, mine heart was with them – for I did not wish to see worse come to the common folk. But this the mujaheedan need know, that the worst of their enemies are those who are in cahoots with communist leaders in their aim to spread communism: and even doth that include the military junta of Myanmar, which hath been totally irresponsible where their people are concerned, in most part disallowing foreign aid and keeping food, medicines and even blankets from the needy many on the verge of starving whilst the spread of disease threatened. Even did they take of the good food foreign governments and the World Food Program did lend and store it in military warehouses and only give spoiled food and old, salty, dark gray rice to the needy, and if al Qaeda hath any real sense of caring for people they will speak out against the military junta of Myanmar.

 

I should say ‘twas good to hear President Bush think to airdrop supplies without the junta’s permission, and he hath God’s Permission in it – and I hope that by the time I post this he will have already begun those airdrops and more, if that is what the junta doth force us into. I wrote this May 12^th, and I wait to see if fruition comes in it but it is upon humanity to make miracles happen today, especially in Myanmar for now but in the world as a whole in the time to come, and if on the whole the world doth not find amends by what hath here been Given the world shall meet with that dreaded end of doom.

It is unacceptable that in Myanmar many storm victims are being forced to leave the homeless shelters and refugee camps and go back to their devastated villages with virtually no aid nor supplies, even being evicted from churches which had opened their doors wide unto them, and the military junta shall be Rebuked of that come Judgment. The relief phase of the rescue effort was not concluded but was cut short by unthinking fools who need their asses kicked. And as for the U.S. soldier who was thrown out of Iraq for using a Qur’an for target practice, the infidel dog doth need his ass kicked as well.

 

And as for the security arrangement being brokered between Iraq and the United States even now, which enraged many Iraqis including Muqtada al-Sadr, it should not be accepted as it is being brokered by the Bush administration on its way out the door.

The Bush administration hath not once agreed to sit down and work out a timetable for withdrawal, and verily they do threaten the sovereignty of Iraq even as many Iraqis do say. And as Mirembe Nantongo, the U.S.Embassy spokeswoman, did reflect that “our focus is to achieve an agreement that is fully consistent with Iraqi sovereignty” I was Given to say that any such agreement, if it includes no timetable for withdrawal, is bullshit.

 

And as I said time and time again before, it is for America to establish a timetable for withdrawal and carry out that withdrawal, even as I stated before, a phased withdrawal wherein after a period of about a year to a year and a half only about 25% of pre-surge troop levels remain in Iraq (i.e., about 30,000 troops for training and support, well-knowing the Iraqi army and police force will have need of them).

 

So I support the Sadrist opinion that the security deal should come to a vote upon a referundum, and considering that such would take time it would hinge upon the outcome even of the American elections in November, which is a good thing. If John dePuppet wins, the security deal is a no-go; if the Democrats win, a timetable for withdrawal will be forth-coming and so a security arrangement can be made.

Debbie Stothard, head of the Southeast Asian human rights group ALTSEAN-Burma, did say today that it appeared to be that the military junta was deliberately taking their time delivering the aid packages so that they could repackage them and be selective about who they might save, and claim the packages did come from them – and that was Truth, and the junta was only seeking to fraudulently solidify its power by lending a false sense of loyalty to its people.

 

From crisis to Christ, consecrating the common place with the mark of a True disciple needs be thine aim. Discipleship requires involvement, and if ye but cut thyself off from the world ye but cut thyself off from thy duty in the world. Blessed are they who struggle in the Way, knowing better now what the Way is than that which they felt they knew of It before, who love, honor, and forgive where love, honor, and forgiveness is due. 1^st John 3:14; “he who does not love remains in death”; in order to love one must take a chance, well-knowing that those he or she doth seek to love might not understand, receive or assimilate that love but that the very effort to love doth stretch the soul and enlarge one’s capacity for enrichment of the soul.

 

By this know ye now love, that I have laid down mine life for thee, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do we part, and know I understand that love involves sacrificial living toward mine fellow man, and toward woman, the helpmate of man. Mine mother thought it wrong of me to stress Luke 19:27; she said she does not like that Verse. And I did say unto her that the Verse was a thing Jesus did say, and did then ask if she did love Jesus and yet not that which he did say – and she did only continue to think of it as violent, even after (for about the 100^th time) I did tell her “slay” does not simply mean kill, that Luke 19:27 doth infer that rebirth in society needs begin with slaying false ideals but that those who refuse to cast off their false ideals are better off dead.

 

And still mine mother refuses to believe in that one little Verse, even when I have explained it to her over and over.

 

Should I do the more blessed thing and turn mine back upon her in her ignorance ??

Each time I bring up Luke 19:27 mine mother thinks it evil, simply because that she does not understand the Verse.

Mind ye, mine disciples of 2,000 years ago did carry weapons for a Reason, and they did slay a few would-be assassins, altho’ the Bible tells nothing of that. I did stress the Verse to make a point, tho’, that violence is at times necessary because of violent others who seek to tear from the business of the Father, and who do simply trash the lives of innocent and/or faithful others. And without Luke 19:27 there is nothing in the New Testament which Truly supports the police or even militias or armies except for defend thy brethren, regardless of whether their actions are Right or wrong.

 

And Peter was as much mine bodyguard as he was mine brother in faith, as were most of the disciples. A few of them would stand near me whilst I did talk to the multitudes, whilst others would comb the crowds in search of would-be assassins, foiling their plots.

‘Twas good to see Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and President Viktor Yushchenko share a toast and a smile, and verily, what some did say of Yulia combining fierce political will with humbleness and honesty was indeed Right and True – so whilst some call her the “Iron Lady of the Ukraine” I call her confident and of good heart and good intent, and verily, the people of the Ukraine are lucky to have her fighting for them. She is only 4 years younger than I, a sprite 47, and I wish for her the Best of things, that she may share the same with her people.

 

It is not that traditions sustain us, Barack, nor even that those who did oppose thee were only bitter, but certainly the Wise take comfort from faith, family, and community, and they pray, and they count on one another, rather than counting and preying upon one another, and indeed, what nations need are governments which actually pay attention – and they need stop living in wantonness and better realize needs. I did love Hillary’s comment today, that the people of faith she knew did not “cling” to religion because that they are “bitter”; that people embrace faith not because that they are materially poor but because that they are spiritually rich; and yea, people do need believe in the importance of living out and expressing their faith. But they also need believe in the importance of learning those things of good faith which they have never learned, and that is what I press thee unto, and is of the Best of things.

One pastor was looking to retire when he did say that “if one’s commitment unto ministry is too personal it frustrates competence and complicates retirement,” adding that knowing such “can help a pastor plan his life realistically, bracing himself for the crises and dealing with them when they come, resolving the issues appropriately whilst not having to wrestle with the whole package at the same time.” He further added that by sharing such knowledge a pastor could find support from other pastors at the same time.

 

Yet wrestling with the whole package is a part of the blessed life thou art to found thyself in; all things by faith. And one’s commitment should be personal, and to think otherwise is what doth frustrate one’s competence. And as for retirement, a True man of God doth not divorce himself from the spiritual battle, and whilst an elderly one might come to me to rest his weary bones and find comfort still would I tell him to stand in light and love of God’s Command and Be!; Healed in such.

 

Benedict’s key theme in coming to America was, according to the Associated Press, to strengthen Catholic identity and observance.

 

Rather he should have been denouncing certain of the Catholic dogma, especially those which say he is God on earth and is infallible – and until he does that he will not have warranted much more than the back of mine hand and the toe of mine boot – and if he would attack me rather than turn the other cheek, well, he is not even a Christian by his own standards. It cannot; and I would have Robert Orsi, chairman of Catholic studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, to note that Ratzinger cannot “speak pastorally” so long as he rejects me and only resorts to praising others and winning them over by his charm.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson stood up today to say “the world has changed” – but he was only speaking of the “demise” of Bear Sterns. Actually it was more a bailout than a demise, and whilst many lost their homes in foreclosures the government made sure the asses of the “fat cats” were covered, compliments of the Federal Reserve’s ridiculous agreement to provide a multi-billion dollar lifeline to JP Morgan Chase for taking over the deal.

 

What did change, tho’ ??

 

Well, Paulson did want to “step up regulation of Wall Street investment houses” and did claim that the government did need to “adapt” – adding that the role of “nonblank financial institutions” and their “interconnectedness” to other financial institutions has changed. But is it that, as Henry Paulson did say, the Wall Street investment houses should be allowed to come directly to the Federal Reserve for “emergency loans” – or is it that such would endanger the real purpose of the Federal Reserve, to ensure that the American banking system doth not fail ?? And where was the “step-up” in “regulation” in the Federal Reserve having promised that deal to JP Morgan Chase ?? Moreso it was a breakdown in regulation, and was certainly no “meltdown of the U.S. financial system” the deal covered but was the loss which stockholders of Bear Sterns did face. I would have left it for the stockholders to bite the bullet and learn from their mistakes rather than force taxpayers as a whole to bear the brunt, affecting a smaller percentage of Americans rather than risking the adverse effect Americans face with the Federal Reserve covering more than just banking institutions.

 

And wherein Bear Sterns is also relevant, Henry Paulson did further reflect that the administration’s “plan” for reforming financial market regulation would “have to wait” – that the wholesale reconstruction of the nation’s financial market regulatory system (which according to the current administration needs come) is at odds with current efforts for elections and re-elections and with Congress’ current dealings with the subprime mortgage crisis. I would note that, once the elections are come and gone, America will have a new administration with its own course and discourse where such planning is concerned, and Paulson’s statement was ludicrous to say the least as it is only passing the problem on to the next administration – yet I am glad of that. The current administration hath been floundering for long, and if the Federal Reserve doth become the “market stability regulator” which Paulson did envision it shall only worsen matters.

To the True human it is not about the color of one’s skin but about one’s morals and values. And it is True that it is just as important for people to have a say in the election of nominees as it is in the election of officials, which is why still I am with thee where seating Michigan and Florida in the Democratic National Convention is concerned. Even as Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, did put it, same-sex marriages are an assault on marriage and the family. And it should not be that such an issue doth rank at the bottom of voter’s concerns, but one report today did imply that.

 

And I would have thee, Barack Obama, to pay special attention here. McCain had no Rightful business for criticizing thee for not going to Iraq for the last 2 years, and his visit there was a sham anyway, but when did I hear the California Supreme Court rule that the state’s ban on same-sex marriages is unconstitutional I felt anger, and did refrain from it. Whether the ban is unconstitutional or not same-sex marriage is immoral and such needs be contained to civil unions at most, for it is not a thing that can be Rightfully Consecrated. I know the gays might be angry with me for saying that, but I tell them: refrain from anger, well-knowing ‘twas Right that I did say it and that I did so for thine own good, and go into the new day with this in heart and mind, that someone out there needs you, that someone out there cares for you, and yea, that someone out there loves you.
