The modern baby energy-aware movement has been rapidly spreading into modern living with the latest innovations, such as compact florescent light bulbs, hybrid cars and reusable shopping totes. On Aug. 12, local business owners will move us into the future of green living in style. The goal of "Green is the New Black" is to promote support from the local community and growth for a better future for everyone, with small contributions and efforts to help Hawai‘i. The Wedding Café is also easing out our plastic bags and bringing in reusable totes for to-go customers. "Green is the New Black" will include a variety of food, fun, live entertainment and, of course, apparel from local boutiques (Split Obsession, Fashionista's Market, Jessica's Traveling Boutique, etc). There will be modern dc a live fashion show and a live and silent auction to support Kanu Hawai‘i, a non-profit organization for better living in Hawai‘i.
