The Hero Cycle!!

Okay, as you may have noticed, "Paisley..." is a bit different from my other stories.  Allright, maybe you didn't notice.  But after reading this you will.  Maybe.

In Most mythology, the "hero" stories follow a hero cycle of sorts.  That is, they have certain elements that transcend culture and time frames, and are present throughout.  Whether slight or not, all these thing can and do happen!! The cycle goes as follows (and just for fun we're gonna trace Goku's path on it, as a nice example of how it works):

Birth - in other words, when this person was born, did something happen that set it apart from other births.  (the whole "saiya-jin" thing for Goku, i suppose... I guess being an alien's a little weird)

Destiny - what they are fated to do, kinda like their mission statement. (ummm... yeah... there are so many of these... I guess a good one was from the "Bardock: Father of Goku" show "... and like all saiya-jins, he was destined to fight" and it came true even though he WASN'T ON THE PLANET!! That's destiny for ya!)

Quest - the mission itself, where all the action takes place and, most likely, their destiny comes true. (oookay... again thes are kinda all over.  Maybe the best one woulda been the initial Dragonball quest, to find all the Dragonballs... yeah, that's it!)

Journey Home -  Usually there's some big issue with getting home, and they have some more shit they have to face.  Think Odysseus in "The Odyssey" *he's a moron, by the way* (oooookay... he went and trained with Master Roshi.  Not exactly, but close enough)

Reward - What do they get out of this whole mission?  Obviously it's not like they do it then nuthin happens (hehehe... if we're gonna go with the initial dragonball thing again... Oolong got panties... and I guess they defeated the bad guy... )

Romantic Element - Ah, what would a Hero myth be without a little love? Most of the really famous stuff is "all about the love" *hehe, if ya dont know why it's in quotes, then nevermind*
and pretty much all of them have at least a little mention of lovey doveyness (I suppose now's when we mention Chi-Chi... yeah, that's where she's supposed to come in.  I knew she'd be on here SOMEWHERE!!)

So, in essence, the story is gonna follow this lovely model quite rigidly, but hopefully not be too blah because of it.  I can't exactly just tell ya what's gonna happen when, but the story should make it obvious.
