| Chapter 1 - Raditz blew out a nervous breath as he raced down the halls. What does Frieza want with me? he thought. He had passed both Vegita and Nappas quarters, and it was obvious neither had been summoned. So he summoned the weakest of three warriors he absolutely hates. Im dead. He was surprised by how calmly the thought came to him. Yet, why not? Death had been biting at the tip of his tail for so long it hardly bothered him anymore. Hell itself couldnt compare to the cold metal of this ship, the cold stares directed at the weakest of a despised race. No fire, even the flames of hell, could melt a three-year wall of ice. Life is pain, death is mercy, Raditz thought with grim sarcasm. Then he was in front of the wide, double-doored entrance to Friezas throne room. Well, here goes. Good bye universe The doors slid open and Raditz walked in. To his amazement he was in the room, the doors were closed behind him, and he was still breathing. Small miracles, I guess He walked cautiously to the throne in the center of the room and bowed low to its occupant. Lord Frieza, you summoned me? Ah, Raditz, so you finally decide to join us, Frieza mocked. Raditz mentally rolled his eyes. I require you to act as a translator for me. Raditz frowned. Sir? Frieza held planets all over the universe, and therefore had many servants kept specifically as translators. So why me? Frieza motioned to two guards who dragged another being forward. The creature they held was obviously wild, though whether it was sentient or not wasnt as easy for Raditz to decide. Black, mussed fur gave no signs of a visible head. The being was covered with and mottled in varying amounts of mud. As the being was brought closer, Raditz realized the fur was actually hair, and that the person in front of him was just hanging their head. The guards pushed the smaller form at him. He caught it; her he corrected himself with a blush, in his arms. She started screaming at the contact. NOT ANOTHER ONE!! LET ME GO!! Her voice was an ear-scratching growl, full of ferocity and anger. That is all we have been able to get out of her. I doubt she speaks a word of basic at all. Raditz nearly dropped the writhing form at Friezas words. He only knew two language, and if that hadnt been basic. She had been speaking he native language of the Saiyans. He looked to her waist. Sure enough, it was wrapped with a furry, mud caked ring. Of course, when my men brought her to me she seemed completely useless. After all I already have three monkeys. What good is a fourth? But they convinced me her fighting style and power levels would make her valuable. However, if she cant learn Basic she is of no use to me. You have until your next mission to teach her. If you cannot, she will bedisposed of. Raditz nearly lost control of his still struggling charge again. No! She cant be killed! A Saiyajin female He cleared his mind and saluted his lord. Yes sir. She will be fully trained by you deadline. Raditz bowed once more, then dragged the girl from the room. |
