YOUTH DAY AT VALLEY FAIR is this Monday, June 30th! We will meet at the church at 7:30 to head down to the park for a day full of fun and fellowship! Even “older kids” are invited (in other words, if you like roller coasters, join us). If you have not purchased your ticket yet, the cost is $23 and includes all day at the park. Lunch tickets will be an extra $2 per person.
REMINDER: Saturday Evening Services are available all summer! If you are unable to join us on Sunday morning, consider being here Saturday night at 5:00 p.m.
An Opportunity to Serve: We are recruiting more people to serve on the Altar Guild. This job entails preparation of the altar for Holy Communion and cleanup afterwards. Anyone is welcome to try their hand at it! If you are interested, please speak to Pastor Ruesch or Rose Milhalko.
BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
Sunday Morning Bible Study – Are we living in the End Times? That’s a question that a lot of people seem to be wondering today and a question that we will answer! Come join us for our End Times 101 class at 8:45 a.m. We will look at the differing views on the end times, what things in the news relate to end times prophecy, and how we as Lutheran Christians should prepare for the end. Don’t miss this great study opportunity!
Bible Breakfast - This group meets every other Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at Twin Pines Resort & Restaurant on Highway 169 just south of town. We order breakfast and then have a laid-back Bible study as we wait for our food. Come join us as we begin a study on the topic of Vocation. Our next meeting is Wednesday, July 2nd.
LifeLight - For the serious Bible student! LifeLight meets every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the church library to dig deep into a book of the Bible or a Biblical topic. Each week those who attend receive a sheet to take home and work on. There are five days of Bible readings and then questions to answer for each reading. In the class, we go over the answers to those questions. Join us on July 10th when we begin a study of the books James and Jude.
LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH YEAR: June 29th – 7th Sunday of Pentecost
Discussing the life issues as political issues can bring discord to families. Discussing the life issues as spiritual issues may do the same. But with the latter, you have opportunity to connect these issues to the Word of Life which points to Jesus who changes hearts. (Matthew 10:34-39)
