Leander Lorenzo Gunter b. 12/16/1888 is my grandfather.

While my father was adopted by my grandfather when he was 3. Before that he was Buster Jackson born in 1922 or 1923. He was given the family name of Lowell Edward Shepard. I am actually looking for the family of my grandfather. We where told his name as Don Juan Shepard and he was born in the North East in or around 1896. He died in Kalispell Montana in 1951. There is a momument to him in a small park just before you get to the west enterance to Glasier National Park. We have always gone by the She ard spelling but cemetery records show it as Don J. Sheppard. I think they got it wrong. If anyone out there knows anything at all about this man please could you tell me.
