-First I would like to know, what are the latest news in Ancient Gods and who answer the Interview.?
Carlos will be answering the following interview. For the moment, On February 7th we will be presenting in the city of Chicago along with BLACK WITCHERY (from Florida), ARES KINGDOM (from Kansas City), and SCEPTER. Aside from this upcoming presentation we are working on our full LP.-Tell us a short story band and the current line up.
ANCIENT GODS was born at the end of 1999 when Javier Gonzalez (Guitar) and I (vocals) joined forces in order to create a strong Death Metal unit. With the help of Antonio Leon from the death cult of THE CHASM, we started to compose and structure songs and the whole band. At the end of October 2000 Luis Ceja joins the band and after almost 6 months of hard rehearsals we completed 4 songs, which we decided to recorder and release as soon as possible. This recording took place on May 24th - 26th 2001 at Sheffield studios in Indiana, and mastered at Colossal Mastering in Chicago ,IL. The Production was in part sponsored by Sempiternal Prod., the final result: MYSTIC LANDS ,a furious MCD released in November 2001. At the moment the line up is still the same, there have not been any changes.-Have you already received some comments or response on your latest split album "cosmic evil" with infinitum obscure?
Yes, We have received many reviews thanks to UTTERLY SOMBER CREATIONS, who have done an excellent job in distributing and promoting the split-CD all around the world. Until this moment the reviews have been great for both bands.- Any record deal for a full lp, plans for touring outside your country. To where, Tell us more about ancient gods how are the band in & out of the stage.
For the moment we have no plans on touring. At the moment we have no deals with any labels. Outside stage we are concentrating on the composition of our LP, which we hope to record before this year ends. When we are on stage we give our complete force and presence, to all our music.-I heard about some gigs with the chasm, obeisance on us tell us more about these gigs. Well, on September 19 and 20 UTTERLY SOMBER CREATIONS gave two presentations for our split-CD. In this presentations Victor was encharge of re-uniting the Aztec legions in the cities of Milwaukee and Chicago. With respect to the bands the shows were great, these presentations were formatted by THE CHASM, OBEISANCE, INFINITUM O. and us. Our first presentation was in the city of Milwaukee in which only 10 people attended, which was enough to maintain the essence of underground Death Metal. I want to thank the death metalers that assisted this show. In our second presentation, which took place in the city of Chicago, there were a couple of problems, but the Aztec legion will never be defeated and special not by anti-professional bastards, like the owner of the place were we were supposedly going to play. Well he is just another bastard in the world. The show took place in place a real underground setting. In less than 24 hours from the show Victor T. was able to obtain the most deplorable, in all aspects, basement ever. This place seemed to be abandoned, but it was enough for the Aztec legion to complete their task. In this show there were close to 100 people, which surprised me. The atmosphere of this presentation was incredible. To the exception of 4 or 5 false people who were around those who are defenders of death metal, that no matter what place or the conditions are always with us. The essence of the Aztec death Metal will always be impeccable. Thanks to all who defended Death Metal and to all of the false bastards that were not present.

ANCIENT GODS is located in Chicago, Il.-Are you been playing on other bands before ancient gods Before forming ANCIENT GODS, in the middle of June of 1995, I formed my first band named PROFANACION along with Luis C. In September of that same year we recorded our first demo, titled EL TEMPLO DE LOS GUERREROS, which contained four songs and had only 500 copies edited. This tape had a very poor production due to the fact that we recorded in the basement were I lived. I believe that it was a great experience for both Luis and I. Years later I formed ANCIENT GODS.
-What are you lyrics talk about , from where do you take the ideas for the songs and what are they talk about.
COSMIC EVIL, spiritual manifestations that stick on the limits of time. Experiences and beliefs from different angles of sub-real and real visions, revelation of reasonable visions among the darkness. Mental insane states that are product of feelings acquired from the supremacy of infinity. Concept of victory. Spiritual quality from my own being, spiritual liberation from inside necrophilic visions that extend through out the universe forming an astral light in the deepest mental states that make up the beginning and the end. Concepts that exceed the universe's limits. Concept of infinity, past, present, future, beginning, and end. Acts that unfold through out existence. Facts of spiritual and physical power, concept of victory, balance and presence through out existence. A spiritual reaction waiting for the liberation of my being. Necrophilic infinite war, deployment of countless legions of demons. Concept of war and challenge over any potential earthly or spiritual, anti-mediocre concept. -besides Ancient gods What else you do, any support for metal scene
. No, for the moment I have only been trying to maintain the essence of the Aztec Death Metal. For now this is all I care about. Maybe in the future I can do something else for the Death Metal scene.-How is the scene on your site at the moment?.
At the moment the underground scene, I believe is the strongest due to bands like THE CHASM, USURPER, CYANIDE, FOREST OF IMPALED, and SCEPTER have been in charge of maintaining this scene alive. Al these bands have represented the scene of Chicago all around the world thanks to their dedication.- Do you think the real spirit "death metal" is getting lost? Why? Who is killing?
Death Metal is something no one will ever be able to destroy. There will always be defenders and creators of this spiritual phenomenon. I believe that Death Metal will always live inside those whom believe in it. Maybe with time this legion will be a minority, but at the same time stronger. The untruthful and mediocre will fall one by one. Long live the Aztec Death Metal and long live the real Death Metal!-How are the relations between the bands in your site? Do you support each other band, or every band goes alone on the way?
I know some bands, but just from plain view. In some shows I just talk to them very few. The support among the bands, from what I've seen, is not to strong. Each band tries to do their best for their own. Personally, the only band I support 100% is THE CHASM.-What bands do you like "today and years ago bands"?
