History Childhood: Marilyn was born to very open minded parents in Zaranj, Afghanistan. He only lived there for a year, before his parents moved to Los Angeles, California, where he's stayed his whole life. He grew up in a nice home in the suburbs of Los Angeles.Growing up he was teased because of his odd fur color, a rare genetic fluke that is quite uncommon, especially in his breed. His mother is a creamy color, and his father a greyish shade. Elementary school was tough since he was picked on so much, but he was never really "all there" anyway. He has ADD, and he's very preoccupied with things and tends to dwell on them, and has ever since he was a young boy. He liked to sit outside in the playground in a corner under a tree and watch the birds and butterflies fly by. He was teased for being so into animals, he had tons growing up, and was always trying to catch squirrels and birds on the playground - not to eat mind you, but to play with. It's like the animals knew he was playing, and they would "play chase" and the squirrels would sometimes chase him back. His parents were very accepting of all sorts of things, so they taught him to ignore insults and to take them with a smile, to be kind, caring and sensitive to all those in the world. And so he remained. His best friend growing up was an albino fennec named Troi. They were an inseperable duo, and quite a unique pair at that.
Teenage: Marilyn continued to be teasaed into middle school and into high school. He went to public schools, and he excelled in classes. So he took AP and IB courses, and excelled at all of those as well. He has never once in his life made a B. He has always had straight As, and got a 1600 on his SATs. He is a very intelligent creature, but he is also a bit lazy. So it takes quite a bit of prodding for him to get his work done, but he always does and did get it done in time. Troi went to the same Middle and High School as Marilyn, and they remained friends. Troi began fooling around with people, boys, in middle school and told Marilyn all about it. Marilyn knew he had feelings for guys as well as girls, but he refused to admit it to himself.
All during middle and high school Marilyn got beat up for being different. For dressing how he did, being the species and color he was, and for being such a pacifist. He never, ever fought back.
He dated a girl for about 2 years named Ellie McFadden, who was quite the tomboy and spitfire. Eventually things between them just weren't working, and she dumped Marilyn. That was one of his only two relationships that involved sex. In his Junior year of High School he met a boy named Daniel who was about his size and height, and they got together. It took a while but they were both very comfortable with each other, and eventually they had sex, with Marilyn being the submissive. Marilyn doesn't rush into relationships, so they were together a year before the sex took place. After Daniel screwed Marilyn he dumped him, beat the shit out of him, and proceeded to tell the entire school how much of a fag Marilyn was. No one questioned Daniel, because he was one of the "popular" kids, and he claimed the whole time that it was a bet with friends to see if Marilyn was gay.
Everyone made fun of him even more than they had, and beat him up even more than they had. Yet Marilyn took it all in stride and never once fought back, until one of the kids kicked his pet dog. Then he beat the shit out of the kid and almost killed him, and was arrested and sent to juvenille hall for violence. He was only there for a week, but no one messed with him after that.
Marilyn became scared of relationships, and in the weeks after the breakup and the jail time he tried to kill himself by cutting open the artery on his legs. He never got deep enough though, but he has some very large scars from the attempts. He cut himself more for the feel of it for a while, then stopped once he got into college and met a new friend - Wes. They became best friends, and moved into an apartment together. They were both majoring in Animal Science, and they both adored animals. They bought tons of them. Marilyn and Wes opened a coffee shop on campus, and get huge business because of their quality and atmosphere. Marilyn found himself falling in love with Wes, but he couldn't tell him since he knew that Wes was straight. One night he gave him a hug and Wes hugged back, and then tried to kiss him but Wes freaked out and ran off and had a one night stand with a girl. Marilyn was devestated.... but after it happened Wes came to him and told him how he felt, and though Wes is very uncomfortable about being publicly gay, Marilyn and he are very happy.
Adult: After time wore on Wes became more publicly comfortable about the fact that he was with Marilyn, and doesn't display any hesitation or skiddishness like he used to. One day when he had just turned 19 Marilyn came across his older brother that he had never seen before in his life. They met, they spoke, but they are not close. Joshua is very different than Mari, and they don't see each other too often even though Marilyn wishes they would.
Marilyn asked Wes to marry him, and they plan to go through with the ceremony sometime very soon.
