I was adopted from the Humane Society in Waldorf, Maryland. I was born on the 12th of June 1999. My breed name is a Domestic Amber, also known as the Mayflower Pussy Cat.
The reason being that's how my ancestors came to this country!

My breed is known for our great hunting ability and that's why we were brought along on the Mayflower. Here are a few more things about me!!

You will find American Short Hairs to be low maintenance cats. These beautiful cats are not only lovely to look at, but are healthy, easy going, and affectionate. On the average, American Short Hairs live 15 to 20 years with only annual veterinary checkups.

They acheive full growth at approximately 3 to 4 years old. Males are significantly larger than females with mature males weighing 11 to 15 pounds and the mature females weighing from 8 to 12 pounds.

Known as the cat of many colors, the American Short Hair comes in over 80 different colors and patterns ranging from the striking brown batch tabby, to the glistening blue-eyed white, the beautiful shaded cameo to the flashy calico van, and many colors in between. The most comon American Short Hair color is the silver tabby with dense black markings set on a sterling background.
