Night Jogger

The night
jogger
who's naught a juggler
but a juggernaut
Scans the road fantastic
Tripping the light
Gleaming fluorescence
Senses the deep cool breeze of
the midnight air
Across the sea
The Swedish maiden
awaits the voyage of
her man of all arms
He sprints
and swooshes
burning polyurethane
his cross trainers blurring
across the serene street scene
God is in his mind
calling on his name
daily and nightly
persistently blithely
mighty is he
and his creed
he decrees pure
love,
God's love he spreads
by talking the walk
and walking the talk
through cities, villages, towns and sprawling metros
always aiming to please God
by being a peaceful revolutionary
edifying
empathizing
through rain and sun
always work to be done
never ceases to grab life by the horns
ever since the curtain was torn
narrow is the path before him
glides and strides
burning more rubber
he's like no other
another joggernaut
joins him
another
and
another brother
now a sister
now a mother
a father
a teenybopper
a dozen toddlers
more teens
their teeth are nice and squeaky clean
never mean
never greedy green
Charlie Sheen
they never seem
to follow
know what I mean?
Yeah, it sure sounds corny
but if you had a different
frame of mind
you'd find this superfine
ringing true
I know you do
Because the night jogger knows
you'll follow the cause
of the airwalk with God
through life's turbulent ordeals
never lacking in zeal
just shimmering rays of teal
we all feel
when love envelopes us in conversation
no static but ecstatic vibes
sensations and vibrations
sunny side always
furgazis never
it's the real deal
moonlight banter
goes the jogger
panting and inner monologues
that emanate
no hate
never to berate
rather
to exonerate
all our mistakes
he sedates
He never tires
never wallows in the mire
drinks the magical life water
sweat of his brow
shows
his legacy never slows
down the winding path
shine on
Jogger-naut
long live the
mon.
