| The Movie Jerry Maguire is a great analogy when selling your home- Remember when Renee Zellweger said to Tom Cruise- "You had me at Hello!" Well that is the whole idea behind curb appeal. You must have that buyer when he first drives up to your home- It must be so appealing that it is all over but the contract signing. I remember when I bought the current house I am in. (this was before I started selling Real Estate) Les and I drove up the the house and stood in the front yard and we knew this was it! Even before we walked in the front door! Pick up a friend and drive into your driveway, with a piece of paper and a critical eye look over your home like you were the buyer. Make notes of the things you need to repair, spruce up, clean up or change. This is an enlighting excercise that will put things in a whole new perspective. After you have captured the buyers interest from the get go- the inside of your home with just be the icing on the cake and the buyer will "Show you the Money!" It's the Jerry Maguire way to sell a home! |
