Such flight and power are awake in me!
Breath itself seeks to lift me further from
This groundswell soft and sweet beneath
Bared feet while eyes are full of sky and
My thoughts aroused embrace the clouds
Stars have filled wild veins with memories
So pure and spirit-clean that simple flesh
Is not enough to hold me here, not enough
To tempt me out of dream even as bared
Feet tread gentle mud, for summer rains
And I turn soft open soil into earthen blood

I yearn to rise, ache to feel beloved breath
In dreamflight take me up in whirling air,
I, weightless and alive in love unfettered,
Fondly gazing down on oceans solemn
Surface, calm with grace and liquid heave
Mountains would raise summits so that I
Might kiss them with my soul of wind
And passion free to soar and stoop in sun
Light spirals of sheer joy released from all
Constraint, gone, for summer echoes me
