| Unkind how thunder seized unwary day,
Prophetic, how its force unraveled mind. Clouds and I mourned in elemental gray confusing visions, hopelessly rain-blind. Dislocated voices sent thoughts running, only to be hunted down and snapped like fragile rat-spines. Shattered into nothing, dull ashes drifted in harsh lightning strike. One brave pause stifled cruel revelry, in silence offered breath for blessed calm. Unbroken it would tame wild tyranny, find storms terrifying eye without qualm. Quiet sun disperses fear, mends backbone, calls peace dream, charms blood from stone. |
