so here you are
sprawled beside me now,
your body eloquent yet ill-used,
a silent past that will not say its piece
but has found its peace in still-full moment.

so here i am
in gentle guard of you,
tears soft and thick tumbling
yesterday away from you now that
wounds are healing into battered beauty
filled with new dreams of another sunfilled day.
