Rising sharply from the earth, storm crashed hard
into the sky, surprising him although he had been
waiting as she prowled the plains, restless for
a place to anchor her release of pent-up power.

Caught up in skys embrace, she, growling deep in
pleasure at his touch, changed her mind about the
anchor and the lightning she had planned for earth ,
fell into sunset clouds that he wrapped around her.

His gentility was memorable to those who watched
as something wildly beautiful that filled hearts and
pulsing rain with an ache of storm-freed radiance.
