daylight disappears into its own remembrance,
restless crowds and noisy lives disperse and fall
away as darkness slides into the air leaving me

alone and free at last to give soft flesh and heart
to your soundless breath, invisible yet warm with
care for every cell to awaken from the outside fog

and come instead to life in silent unseen touch
of skies unknown until tonight, so clear of mess
and turmoil that might hold me back from you

*and i slide into the air like gentle darkness,
soul and senses aching with your call to flight*
back
home
