since we have already woken
growling oceans deep inside,
lets strip off these lifeskin robes
and plunge reckless among waves.

lets drown the noble tide in passion,
hurl savage cries into the wind and
listen to them ricochet around the earth,
sound slashing air into elemental wildness,
as we make love in a storm of breath
and blood, naked, raw and so full of power
that the clouds will rip themselves apart
on lightning so that they might feel
the essence of our midnight union.
