Paul P. Woodle

BOGATA — Paul P. Woodle, 72, of the McCrury community died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at East Texas Medical Center, Clarksville.

Graveside services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at McCrury Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Freeman officiating. Wood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodle was born Dec. 3. 1928, in the Glendale community of Red River Co, to Jim and Ima Chance Woodle. He married Velma Sigler April 11, 1951, in Center. He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict and was a retired heavy equipment operator in construction work. For several years he owned and operated a fresh produce stand at his residence on Highway 37 south.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Larry Paul Woodle and wife Irene of McCrury; two daughters, Wanda Fincher and husband Roy of McCrury and Joyce Shelton and her husband Terry of Mount Pleasant; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Woodle and wife Cecelia of Latch; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and his parents.

Named as honorary pallbearers are Charlie Lewis, Robert Lewis, J.C. Abernathy, Jake Smith and Bill White.
