Who Are You? Part 5

*********************

Some time later, an elegantly shoed foot stepped over the crumpled body of a butler, and in to the great hall. Darla smiled as she looked around. "I must say," she stated. "These people certainly do have good taste... what nice decor. I think it'll be even nicer when it's covered in their blood, don't you Angelus?" Hearing no reply, she turned.

"Angelus!"

He jumped. "What's that darlin'? I wasn't listening..."

"Obviously." she sighed in an aggravated manner. "Come on... let's join the party..."

Drucilla clapped her hands together. "I told you it would be fun daddy."

Angelus rolled his eyes as they entered the elegant ballroom. Darla whispered in his ear. "Darling we really should think about getting a babysitter from now on." Darla continued fanning herself, wearing her impaitence heavily. Never was Darla used to waiting for anything.

Angelus simply chuckled and put his arm around her waist. "In due time my love. You can't hurry a good meal." Surveying the room, he took stock of all the potential dinners. His gold-tinged eyes focused on a beautiful red-head who was gliding over the dance floor. Now there was an appetizing morsel. He furrowed his brow. Now if he could just get away from Darla for a bit. He liked to charm his dinner before eating it, and Darla wasn't really too fond of his style. He turned to talk to Dru, hoping to encourage her to take Darla to the buffet table and noted with consternation that the dark haired wench was already gone. He'd have to punish her for that one later.

Willow and Micheal danced together in the ballroom to a graceful and livley waltz. The other guests had formed a circle around the pair to admire their performance. Willows cheeks appeared flushed from the dancing and laughing that was coming from the dances twirling and dipping. There was never dancing like this at the Bronze she thought to herself. She was enjoying herself immensly however, Williams disappearance had startled her. Obviously there was history between the two men. How much was unclear, but it was evident. Willow concidered that perhaps she was not spending enough time with her date.

"Micheal would you excuse me for a moment? I have to go powder my nose." Micheal bowed gracefully before her. "Of course milady. I'll wait right here for you." he kissed the top of her hand before she left.

Willow went in search of William, first checking out the patios and kitchens. He was nowhere to be found and it was causing Willow to worry quite a bit.

"Well if the house wasnt't so big I could find him." She said to herself. Willow suddenly lept backwards a bit. Angelus stood over her smiling sweetly, his hand rested on the wall behind her, his deep brown eyes seemed innocent enough. The black cape he wore curled menacingly around his tall form. Willow brushed a stray hair back in to place. This is not good, where is a Slayer when you need one she thought nervously. Here she was, standing in front of Angelus and no vampire defense at all.

"Who are you looking for miss? I could help you find him if you'd like."

"No. I mean I can find him on my own thank you." Willow turned to leave, Angelus put his other arm up. "What's your hurry? I'd like to get a chance to know you. I just got here and I need some ladies for my dance card. You wouldn't want to be my first would you?" The innocent appearance to his eyes faded, replaced by a look of lust and hunger. Things were moving quicker with this one. It irritated him. Ususally he had time to play with his prey, but this girl, she was on to him, he was sure of it.

"Oops, sorry. Dance card full. I really have to go now and find my date." Willow made a dash under his arms. He caught her with one swoop, his arm snaked around her waist. Willow winced at the tight grip, she wriggled to no avail.

"I'm not taking no for an answer little one. I really want you to stay here with me.If you have to go looking for that date of yours, how much could he really want you?" He taunted her. She was a fiesty one, he was going to enjoy this. It was almost a shame she had to die. Almost.

"Milady you look lovley tonight. May I have this dance?" Darla looked to her admirer and yawned. "Not tonight. I'm just not in the mood." The man stared after her, taken by her beauty he refused to give up. "Surley a livley dance would wake you up miss." He tried again. Darla refuted him once more. "No it wouldn't. Trust me." Darla moved away from the man out to a terrace that overlooked the grounds. "What a view." She said to herself. The cool night air washed over her pale skin, invigorating the lady vampire. It was a great night for a kill she thought. Quick and simple, no flirting and conversing with the mortals. The style in which Angelus loved to kill, made her stomach churn. To regard mortals for but second as human, it was an insult to their kind as far as she was concerned.

Again the young man approached her politly. In his hand he held out a glass of punch. "Miss, perhaps a drink?" Darla let out an audible heavy sigh. "I suppose. Since you insist on bothering me, you can be my first of the night."

Instantly she morphed from mortal to immortal. The young man tried to back away from her, he was not fast enough. Darla had him by the throat with one delicate hand.

"What... I mean who are you? Don't hurt me please." he begged. Now she was having fun. Begging for his pitiful life. She loved it. Mortals were so boring she told herself. Always predictable. Don't hurt me, don't kill me. Always the same old same old. Never one of them begged her for immortal life. Not that she would have given it to them, but a little variety never hurt.

"I'll take the drink now." she hissed. Her fangs sunk deep in to his neck, tearing the skin brutally and quickly. His arms flailed slightly, his eyes widened with fear as she took her fill. Satisfied at last Darla took one look at him and laughed. "Next time when lady says no maybe you'll listen to her my boy. Now off you go." A quick toss over the railing and he was gone.

"Now Angelus, time to show yourself. I'm getting bored." Darla quickly exited the terrance and found her way inside. Drusilla floated up to her at that very moment.

"Daddy plays with the spellmaker. She questions his mortality." Darla eyed her grandchilde with a big of hesitation. Never has Dru been wrong about any vision before. If Angelus was seeing a spellmaker, that was undoubtably a witch. That meant trouble for them in the least way they wanted.

"Do you know where he is dear childe?" She was being tolerable now, never did she stand for the babble of Drusilla.

"Under the stairs grandmummy, cooing and babbling like she was his own."

"His own. Babbling. I never could stand they way he hunts his prey. It's time I teach Angelus a lesson."

Drusillca clapped excitedly. "Mummy wants to have a party. The king hold all of the cards." she said. Darla stomped off, ladylike but stomped off all the same, with Drusillca following like a little lost puppy.

"C'mon" the Irish accent insisted. "It won't hut a bit now lassie."
