| James and Phoebe Blaker settled in Lafayette county Mississippi, where members of Phoebe's family, the Raglands had settled earlier. James Andrew and his deaf-mute son, James Monroe went to Memphis, Tennessee for supplies. On the way home he was robbed and murdered in Marshall county.
