I chose a different route for draining the head.  Instead of hoses I went with steel tubing with 37 degree flared fittings.

Picture 1 is the tube on the front of the head. TheZF power steering pump is removed. And the engine is not tilted like it will be in the car.

Picture 2 is the tube on the rear of the engine. This tubing now uses the original turbo drain port.

Picture 3 is a shot of all 3 tubes. The third one being the drain from the turbo which now goes in the oil pan.

Picture 4 is a pressure balance line I added to the front of the block. It is above the oil level in both the head and block.
Here is a shot of the oil supply to the head.  I installed a Parker needle valve N200B in front of the tee.  I can control the amount of oil to the head and turbo. The other stainless line in the picture is the coolant return from the turbo.
After starting the engine I found that a larger needle valve was needed, so I went with a 1/4" N400B.
