Xi Men Episode
XiaoYou appears in school in front of XiMen and MeiZuo.
XiaoYou: I cam back because of you. Your whole day tomorrow is mine.
XiaoYou turns and runs away.
MeiZuo: Her change is quite unnatural.
Meanwhile, XiaoYou smiles to herself.
That night, XiMen and MeiZuo are at the pub with a bunch of girls. MeiZuo is busy entertaining the girls while XiMen remains nonchanlant. The girls leave.
MeiZuo: You haven't smiled the whole day. Anyway, I just called XiaoYou to tell her you're here.
XiMen: You're such a busybody.
MeiZuo: Surely you know what XiaoYou means to you.
XiMen: What meaning. You should know, every girl expires in one week.
MeiZuo: Yah yah.. Not again.
XiMen: I can't be bothered with you.
XiMen walks over to chat with two girls and drinks with them. XiaoYou enters the pub and sees XiMen chatting happily with the girls. She finds a seat and sits down by herself. MeiZuo goes over to XiMen and tells him XiaoYou has arrived.
A guy approaches XiaoYou.
Guy: Can I sit here?
XiaoYou: I'm sorry, but I don't wish for you to sit here.
Guy: Okay then, have fun.
THe guy leaves. XiMen and MeiZuo watches. XiMen goes over to sit with her.
XiMen: That guy was not too bad. Since you're here, might as well make some friends. Exchanging handphone numbers is not too bad.
XiaoYou: I know you're okay with it, because all those girls are nothing but a chain of phone numbers. You can do that, because you're XiMen.
XiMen: You can do it too.
XiaoYou: You really think so? I can accept what you do, because I know that's your usual style. I don't mind. But you hope that I can be like you, flirting around with other guys, what's the meaning of that? You never spare a thought for my feelings.
XiMen: That's why I say you can't afford it. Don't force yourself anymore.
XiaoYou gets up angrily and approaches the guy who tried to pick her up.
XiaoYou: What did you want when you came to talk to me? Date? Kiss? Go to bed? If you say it, I can do any of the above for you.
XiMen rushes forward and grabs XiaoYou and pulls her away.
XiaoYou: See? I can afford it! Isn't this what you want? I think of you everyday in Canada. So I won't give up.
XiMen: I don't want to hurt you!
XiaoYou: You won't hurt me. When I see you playing with fire with those other girls, what I see is you hurting yourself.
XiMen and XiaoYou sit outside McDonalds. XiMen tells XiaoYou that he once liked a girl. But he stood her up. At the time she was supposed to meet her, he was in bed with another girl...........
****A few years back******
XiMen was getting romantic with a girl when XiaoGen barges in. The girl
rushes off in embarrassment.
XiaoGen: Sorry!!
XiMen: You sure know how to choose a time!
XiaoGen: I saw a new titbit on the market today!! So I brought it here to share with you!!
XiMen: (thinking) XiaoGen grew up with me.. She's the only girl whom I don't have that kind of feeling for...
XiMen: You're almost 18. Time to get a boyfriend.
XiaoGen: You don't have a fixed girlfriend either.
XiMen: Everyday, I'm experiencing the "very moment". It means, when you miss the very moment, it will never come again.
XiMen's phone rings. XiMen arranges to meet a girl and XiaoGen goes home.
XiMen's mother approaches XiMen for help. XiMen knows that his father has gone to look for his mistress again. XiMen is saddened that his family has fallen apart. He sits in his room sulking. XiaoGen walks into his room and sees him looking sad.
XiaoGen: (smiles) Hi! I'm here again! New titbit! Your room is still so plain. I think you should place a BIG teddy bear here!
XiMen: (thinking) I know.. XiaoGen sees the sadness in my eyes.. But she doesn't ask me about it.. She just acts silly.. Her smile warms this cold house..
XiMen: You're like a teddy bear.
XiaoGen: Really! Then I shall be a teddy bear here!
XiMen: (thinking) I thought our relationship will remain like this and never change.
XiaoGen sits on the floor not moving, trying to imitate a teddy bear. XiMen pushes her head and she falls backwards. She nearly hits her head against the desk and XiMen rushes forward to hold her. They stare at each other and there was awkwardness between them.
XiaoGen: XiMen.. I think...
XiMen: Are you hungry? You shouldn't eat so much titbits.
XiaoGen: I looked more like a teddy bear last time right?
XiMen: I think you're still the same.
XiaoGen: Am I really still the same as last time?
XiMen: Of course. We're still the same as last time. We've never changed.
XiaoGen are out with her friends. They suggest that they go to a building's rooftop to spend the night there. At dawn, as the sun was rising, XiaoGen takes a walk around, looking at the scenery. She suddenly sees something. She calls XiMen and leaves a message.
XiaoGen: XiMen. I hope you can come somewhere. I have something to show you. Tomorrow morning, 5 am. Come to this building's rooftop.
XiMen shuts off the answering machine.
XiMen: (thinking) It's okay. If I don't go, we will revert back to the past. Nothing will have changed.
XiMen doesn't turn up to meet XiaoGen. He was in bed with another girl at that time.
When XiMen returned home, XIaoGen was waiting for him at his door.
XiMen: XiaoGen, are you alright? What's wrong?
XiaoGen is crying.
XiMen: You're crying.. I'm sorry I stood you up. Please don't cry.
XiaoGen: (crying) Goodbye.
XiMen: (thinking) Looking at XiaoGen's dissapearing back, I couldn't move. Tomorrow... XiaoGen will surely come back with her sunshine smile looking for me. Tomorrow.. We will definitely return to what we used to be. Isn't it, XiaoGen?
However, XiaoGen never returns to look for XiMen. XiaoGen send XiMen a letter.
"XiMen, I know you tried to look for me a few times, but I never went to meet you. Perhaps in your life, there are many "very moments". But to me, my "very moment" was at the top of that building, the morning I waited for you. XiMen, do you know, that morning at 5am, the sun was so bright. Goodbye, XiMen."
A year later, XiMen saw XiaoGen with another guy on the streets.
XiMen: (thinking) I keep thinking, if at that time, I had ran over and hugged XiaoGen tightly, what would we be like today.
Back to McDonalds.....
XiMen: Actually to me, that was the only actual "very moment" I don't know what XiaoGen wanted to show me. But I know, once that chance was lost, it would never come back.
XiMen: (thinking) I will never know, what she wanted to show me.
XiaoYou immediately goes from building to building, spending nights after nights at the rooftops, waiting for the dawn, hoping to find what XiaoGen wanted to show XiMen. After numerous nights, she finally finds it....
XiaoYou calls QingHe and asks him if he has seen XiMen. QingHe approaches DaoMingShi and MeiZuo for help. MeiZuo calls XiMen's house and handphone but fails to find him.
MeiZuo: No matter what the reason is, I will definitely help her find XiMen.
DaoMingShi and MeiZuo drives around that night looking for XiMen. XiMen is having a drink with Lei.
Lei: I heard that XiaoYou came back from Canada for you.
XiMen: Don't say it anymore.
Lei: Is it really not possible?
XiMen: It's just like QingHe and ShanCai. XiaoYou is just like that to me. I have my own thoughts. Just ignore her calls, try to hide from her, be fierce to her.
XiaoYou, DaoMingShi and MeiZuo finally finds XiMen at the pub.
XiaoYou drags XiMen and makes him follow her.
XiaoYou: I've found what XiaoGen wants to show you.
They run up to the rooftop, in time for the sunrise. XiaoYou asks
XiMen to look at a billboard.
XiaoYou: When the sun rises and the light reflects off the
billboard, some of the words on it will disappear for 3 minutes.
That will be what XiaoGen wanted to tell you.
When the sun rises and the words disappear, what was left on
the billboard was "XiMen, my beloved"
XiMen couldn't hold back his tears and cries. XiaoYou walks over
to his side. XiMen puts his arm around her shoulders.
