Episode 19
Finally, Dao’s sister arrived from New York. She was so proud of what her
little brother was doing for his own happiness. At Dao’s house, Shan Cai was
allowed to talk to Dao with one condition: a door separating them. Dao convinced
Shan Cai that they could win this struggle if they stand by each other because
he believed in the end they would be together no matter what.
Shan Cai
told Dao’s mom that she would wait for Dao outside the house and fast for him
also. It rained heavily that night as Shan Cai stood patiently. Meanwhile, Dao’s
sister tried to talk her mom out of the mess she had created to no avail. In the
end, she openly told her mom how she actually felt about her own life, which was
controlled by her mom. She regretted for not striving for her own happiness and
just simply followed her mom’s arrangement.
That night, Dao’s mom
pondered on her options. The next morning, Dao’s sister was very happy to learn
that her mom had cancelled the wedding arrangement and went back to New York. Yu
Sau quickly brought the wet and weak Shan Cai to meet up with Dao. Dao and Shan
Cai held each other as old memories surged up. Weeks later, after much pestering
from Dao, Shan Cai finally declared her love for Dao.
