Episode 17
Although Yar Men (Ching Yong’s real identity) and Shan Cai remained friend,
he still advised Shan Cai to forget about Dao because it was really quite
impossible for them to be together. He felt that Shan Cai deserved a much better
guy. Shan Cai couldn’t sleep that might thinking about her relationship with
Dao. At university, Shan Cai avoided F4 especially Dao because she felt that
there should be a clean break between her and F4. Later, Shan Cai visited Yar
Men, who called her up earlier because he was sick and in need of care. And so,
Shan Cai cooked and cleaned for Yar Men. There, Yar Men could not contain his
feelings and kiss Shan Cai without her approval. The outrage Shan Cai quickly
ran off. On her way home, she saw Dao and Xiao Ji in a café, chitchatting
happily. She felt it was best this way now that Dao had moved on. Dao looked up
Yar Men and told him to stay off Shan Cai because Shan Cai belonged to him
alone.
The next day, Yar Men went to the university to apologize to Shan
Cai on his outrageous behavior yesterday. He invited Shan Cai to the fun park to
lighten up her day. They were waiting for bus when Dao caught up with them. He
asked Shan Cai not to go with Yar Men and declared his love for her one more
time. Although Shan Cai was touched by his words, she still chose going off with
Yar Men. Yar Men and Shan Cai got on the bus as Dao chased the bus like a mad
person. In the bus, Shan Cai kept on crying and decided she couldn’t go without
Dao either so she got off the bus and ran back into Dao’s arms. The next day at
university, they met up secretly. Dao wanted to bring Shan Cai to New York but
she opposed to the idea. Dao thought she was embarrassed to be seen with him and
they started to argue. This time, Shan Cai was not going to let Dao walked off
without finishing the conversation. She explained the real reason: to avoid
Dao’s mom. They made up.
Meanwhile, Simon visited Xiao Yoe just to make
sure that Dao’s mom didn’t make any lousy move on her again. Xiao Yoe, who
already fell in love with Simon by this time, kept on giving hints to him but he
ignored the hints. Shan Cai wanted to call up Dao just to chitchat like normal
girl-boy friends but she didn’t know how! Then it turned out Dao was actually
trailing behind her and saw her whole action! He had dressed low to avoid
getting attention. Just then, they overheard Xiao Yoe declaring her love for
Simon to which Simon rejected. That night, someone broke into Shan Cai’s house
but since she hadn’t fell asleep yet, she frantically called for help,
accidentally pressed her cellular, calling Dao. The sleeping Dao became fully
awoke after receiving Shan Cai’s unintended call. He came rushing to Shan Cai’s
house, wearing only his pyjamas. Shan Cai was very surprised to see
him.
The next day, Xiao Yoe went to Simon’s house just to tell him that
she didn’t mind Simon’s playboy attitude and she was okay with one nightstand.
This came as a surprise to Simon. Meanwhile, Shan Cai’s mom visited Shan Cai the
next day after the break-in and became worried when Ching Her, who stopped by to
check out Shan Cai, told her about the matter. Luckily, there was a new neighbor
moving in next door. They decided to go and greet the new neighbor. Much to
their surprise, it was Dao! He had decided to move in next door so that he could
protect Shan Cai, Meanwhile, Simon was thinking about Xiao Yoe and decided to
call her up. That night, Shan Cai couldn’t sleep, thinking of Dao, who was now
living next door. So close and yet so far. Dao felt the same way too. Simon and
Xiao Yoe met up at a hotel.
