Episode 16

The next day, Shan Cai received a letter from Lei telling him of his abrupt departure to Japan to handle his father’s business. He advised Shan Cai to be true to herself and not to give up on loving Dao. The night before, Lei told Simon and Mei Zhuo about his whole ‘provoked Dao’ plan and he just wanted Dao to realize how important it was to go after what you want when you still have the chance. At the airport, Dao arrived in time to send Lei off and promised that he would take good care of Shan Cai. F4 would forever be made up of four of them no matter what. Meanwhile, Xiao Ji visited Shan Cai and both of them made a pact to move forward and leave the past behind.

The next day, Xiao Ji brought Shan Cai along for a couple of blind dates. They met up with a lot of guys that day. There was this one guy, Ching Yong, who attitude reminded them so much of Dao. Somehow on their way home, Shan Cai got separated from Xiao Ji. Out of nowhere, Shan Cai was grabbed by Ching Yong into a dark alley. He confessed to her that he was Dao’s cousin. Shan Cai, intimidated by him managed to slip away and started to run but she bumped into Dao who appeared from nowhere. Dao invited her for a drink because he wanted to talk to her about their relationship. At a café, Shan Cai’s attention was distracted when Ching Yong appeared outside the café. Dao was not happy to learn that Shan Cai went out on blind dates and he didn’t believe it when Shan Cai told him about his cousin because as far as he knew, he had no cousin. Still Dao went home to enquire the cousin matter from Yu Sau and she confirmed that Dao did have one.

That night, Ching Yong followed Shan Cai home and brought some food for her. Shan Cai had to let him in when she accidentally hit his hand with the door. They had dinner together as Ching Yong told her more about his status as Dao’s cousin. That same night, Mei Zhuo and Dao asked Xiao Ji out to enquire about the guy, Ching Yong. There, Dao learned that Xiao Ji set up the blind dates alone and Shan Cai was just being dragged along the way. Dao quickly went to Shan Cai’s house to apologize to her. Ching Yong left before Dao entered the house and so Dao was determined to find Ching Yong. The next day, Ching Yong came to Shan Cai’s house to take back his shoes that he had left behind in a hurry yesterday. Shan Cai presented Ching Yong with a special sunglasses when he gave her a beautiful flower as present. Meanwhile, Xiao Ji tried to help Dao in finding Ching Yong. She managed to find out that Ching Yong actually paid another guy to accompany him to the blind dates set up by her, which was very strange.

That night, Ching Yong waited for Shan Cai at her home again. He advised Shan Cai to leave Dao, as he was not good enough for her. He also told Shan Cai that he was not Dao’s cousin, which confused Shan Cai further. In the end, after much pushing from Ching Yong, Shan Cai declared her love for Dao much to Ching Yong’s amazement. Meanwhile, Dao arrived at his cousin’s house and found out that his real cousin was a totally different person from the one Shan Cai had met at the blind dates. The next day at university, Dao informed the matter to Shan Cai. Ching Yong appeared to confirm the story and told them that he was sent by Dao’s mom to separate Shan Cai and Dao. Immediately, Shan Cai forced Ching Yong to bring her to meet up with Dao’s mom. Ching Yong brought Shan Cai to the airport and asked her to take the plane to New York if she really wanted to meet up with Dao’s mom. Then, he told her his real identity and hoped that they still remained friend.
