Episode 13
At night, Ying Feng drives Jia Le home on his motorcycle. Jia Le, with her pink helmet, has her arms wrapped around Ying Feng's waist, while her chin is leaning on Ying Feng's shoulder and she's smiling. She gets off. With a concerned face she asks Ying Feng what she ought to buy tomorrow to bring to the dinner with Ma Ye. Ying Feng smiles, and tells her there's no need to bring anything. She doesn't have to worry because Ma Ye has a good impression on her. He is about to leave, but Jia Le stops him. She pushes her lips up, making Ying Feng misunderstand and lean forward. She giggles and hands him her helmet. He takes it, a bit embarrassed, but his expression doesn't really show. As he puts away her helmet, Jia Le walks forward and gives Ying Feng a kiss on the side of his lips. He turns over to face her with a somewhat expressionless look, the kind that doesn't show much reaction, but you know he's just not showing his feelings. She waves goodbye and quickly walks into her house. Ying Feng smiles afterwards and drives away. Meanwhile, Bao Long is watching Ying Feng leave in his van, parked at the side. Looking a bit upset, he nudges Tang Shu to wake him up and tell him they can go home now. Just as Bao Long was going to drive, his phone rings. He's annoyed when he sees who it is. It's Jing Jing and she's purposely asking him about how he liked her set up and other stuff to annoy him. She then hangs up and the fake smile she had on disappears.

Ying Feng and Jia Le are at a restaurant to eat with Ma Ye. The entire hallway was filled with Ma Ye's people. They finally enter the room. Hao Ge greets them and leads them to their seats. They both happily sit down next to each other. Ma Ye asks Jia Le if she's ever been to this restaurant before. She has a long time ago, but she didn't remember all these mafia people being here, it's very cool. Ying Feng looks at her, while Ma Ye doesn't know what to say. Catching her mistake, Jia Le says that she was only joking. Hao Ge starts to laugh a fake laugh and all his followers laugh with him. Ying Feng bits his lips and gives a weak smile.

Outside the restaurant, a black limo arrives. A man gets out of the car to open the door. Jia Le's parents step out. Jia Le's parents, who are clueless, thinks that it was so nice of their daughter to invite them to dinner and even have someone pick them up. They are about to enter the building when they see two rows of men dressed in black suits line up on the sides of the hallway inside. One man goes up to them to make sure that they are Mr. and Mrs. Zhao.

Meanwhile, Jia Le is telling Ma Ye that the color pink is very nice. She suggest that they add some pink item to their black uniforms. Hao Ge's eyes widen, Ma Ye's smile fades away and Ying Feng bits his lips in embarrassment. Ma Ye looks over to Hao Ge and Hao Ge tells him that he'll go buy the item tomorrow. But you can tell he doesn't want to and thinks that this is a horrible idea. Jia Le turns to smile at Ying Feng, he could only give one back, but a rather fake one. Then two men open the doors and Jia Le's parents come in. Jia Le is surprised to see her parents here and immediately stands up in shock when she sees them. Ying Feng looks up with a "oh no I'm doomed" expression. (hehe don't know how else I can explain it) Hao Ge gets up from his seats and introduces Jia Le's parents to Ma Ye. They sit down across from Ying Feng and Jia Le. Ying Feng holds onto Jia Le's hands and she sits back down. Then Hao Ge introduces Ying Feng. Jia Le's mom asks if he's the hero Jia Le talks of, and Jia Le nods. Hao Ge adds that Ying Feng isn't only Jia Le's manager at the office, but is also Jia Le's boyfriend. Jia Le's parents are shocked when they hear this, wasn't Jia Le dating Bao Long? Jia Le quickly tells them she'll explain when they get home. Ying Feng looks uncomfortable. Ma Ye explains that he has planned this. Ying Feng is his most beloved godson. He's smart, outstanding and responsible. But he knows that because of his identity, he deliberately hid from them two. Ma Ye just really wishes that Jia Le's parents won�t object to them being together because they are part of the mafia. He doesn't want the fact that he's the mafia to effect them. Of coarse when Jia Le's parents hear this, they are surprised and both Ying Feng and Jia Le are feeling even more uncomfortable than before. Jia Le reaches her hands out to Ying Feng and they hold on tight to each other. Hao Ge gets up and starts to tell them that they don't believe in the law. He continues to talk about all the things they do, the fighting and illegal stuff. (obviously trying to scare Jia Le's parents) Ying Feng looks down and away with a worried expression. Ma Ye explains that although they are the mafia, they still had to bleed, sweat and work hard to get to where they are now. Then Ying Feng finally speaks. Ever since he was small, his godfather always told him to be �chong qing chong yi.� For the past 10 years he has been following his godfather who gave a home to this poor child with no home. Everyone calls Ma Ye the mafia, but to him, he�s an honorable father. Jia Le's parents look at each other. Ying Feng bits his lips and stands up. HIs godfather has always told him the most important thing in life is to be �chong qing chong yi,� he will definitely use this attitude to treat Jia Le. Jia Le looks up, touched. Jia Le's parents look at each other again and comment of the mafia. (sorry didn't know what they said) Ma Ye then tells YIng Feng to sit back down. He stands there for awhile, with a sad expression, and then sits with his head down. Jia Le holds his hands to insure him that everything will be ok.

Ying Feng and Ma Ye are in a car. Seeing Ying Feng's expression, Ma Ye asks him if he went to far into his business. Ying Feng tells him that if it was meant to be his, then it's his. Hao Ge, who is in the front seat, says that this was all his plan. He didn't want him to get hurt from love issues. Ying Feng is looking down as he speaks. He goes on to say that if Jia Le's parents is not able to accept him then they should just break up. Ying Feng looks up and glares at him. He still continues, but Ma Ye stops him. The car is silent. Ying Feng seems pretty upset.

Jia Le's parents are sitting outside of their home. Jia Le walks up to her parents. They obviously need to have a talk. Jia Le's parents has always trusted her, respected her and supported her in what ever she does. Why has she lied to them that Bao Long was her boyfriend? Jia Le quickly denies. She has never said she was going out with Bao Long. Bao Long didn't want them to worry about her so he made this up. Now that Jia Le mentioned it, they realized that she indeed never said that Bao Long was her boyfriend. She has also been a very good girl ever since young. She stands in front of parents and tells them that Ying Feng is a good person. Although he was adopted by Ma Ye and is part of the mafia, but he works really really hard. Jia Le's parents look at each other. Then Jia Le kneels down. She tells them that they won't allow her to be with Ying Feng because of the mafia she would not listen to them. They look at each other again without speaking. Jia Le stands back up and begs them to not judge YIng Feng. She honestly loves him. For the third time Jia Le's parents looks at each other. Frustrated, Jia le turns around to have her back facing them. Jia Le's mother taps her husband and tells him that she isn't judging, how about him? Him? Well he thinks that Ma Ye is pretty nice to Jia Le. Jia Le's mother whispers back, but loud enough for Jia Le to hear, that when Hao Ge explained about the mafia's spirit, she was so touched she was about to cry. Jia Le's then compliments Ma Ye. His wife asks him if he has a "Jiao Fu" (kind of like a father who taught him...that's what it is if you directly translate it) His DVD player. They decide to go watch DVDs and leave. Jia Le laughs and scratches her head. A smile is on her face afterwards.

Ying Feng is at home on his bed. He is holding up a picture of the ocean. Jia Le is tossing and turning on her bed, she's so happy that she's smiling. She gets up and decides to call Ying Feng. He answers and asks her why she isn't asleep yet. She can't fall asleep because she has finally got blessings from her parents. He smiles and says that that's good and then says good night. She tells him to wait and kisses the phone before hanging up. Both ends smile happily. After hanging up, Ying Feng holds the photo of the ocean above him again. This dream of his...will it ever come true?

Ma Ye has invited Jia Le over to his house. He apologizes for what Hao Ge had said yesterday and he hope that those words didn't scare her parents. Jia Le shakes her head and tells him not at all, her parents even praised him. Well then, he isn't as worried anymore, he's just worried about Ying Feng. He's very self vulgar (Direct translations because I don't know how to translate zi bei) to love and work. He remembers that when Ying Feng first worked at Shopping More he was very interested in this tea from a foreign country. But he wasn't able to get it. He lacked some things (sorry don't know how to translate) This has been in his heart every since. Of coarse after hearing this Jia Le is interested in knowing what kind of tea this is and help Ying Feng sell it. Ma Ye tells her that he's willing to help her, making Jia Le very happy.

Jia Le is on the phone talking about the tea. When she sees Ying Feng she quickly tells the person that she'll call back later. Ying Feng notices her sneakiness and asks her what she was doing. Jia Le says that she wasn't doing anything. She quickly grabs her bag and tells him she's going out.

Tang Shu and Bao Long are in their van following Jia Le again to protect her. Bao Long receives a call from Jing Jing. Jing Jing is in a parking lot outside of Shopping more. Jia Le walks out of the elevator and is about to exit the building. She tells Bao Long that Jia Le should be coming out of the building right now. Tang Shu and Bao Long see Jia Le walking out. She has a bright smile on her face, Jing Jing tells Bao Long that this could be the last time he ever sees her smile again. So what exactly does she want? She tells him that when Jia Le starts the engine to her car, there would be an explosion. Bao Long immediately runs out of his van and starts running to Jia Le. Jia Le picks up her keys and inserts it, as Bao Long is running with all his might. Just as she is about to turn the keys, Bao Long opens the door to her car and stops her. Bao Long, stuttering, pulls Jia Le out of the car and tells her that today he need to borrow her car. He catches a taxi for her and pushes her in without letting he speak. After Jia Le leaves, Tang Shu walks up to Bao Long to ask what's wrong. He tells him that Jia Le's car has bomb.

There is a crowd of people behind caution tapes. A guy, (who is like those people who take care of bombs...what are they called?) is picking something out of Jia Le's car. The guy is nervous, well he is dealing with a bomb here. But what turns out hanging from the end of the stick is nothing near a bomb, it's a cute stuffed animal. Afterwards Tang Shu and Bao Long are being questioned by the police. They are asked why they thought there was a bomb in the car. Bao Long tells the police officer that someone told him, but he is not able to tell him who this person is. As Bao Long's phone rings, the van that Jing Jing was in pulls up behind them. She scrolls down her window. Tang Shu sees her and points her out to Bao Long. She makes fun of Bao Long and then drives away. Afterwards, the Bao Long and Tang Shu had to get into the police car.

The exhausted Bao Long and Tang Shu are walking up the stairs coming back from the police station. Tang Shu doesn't understand why Bao Long did not tell the police about Jing Jing so that they could get rid of her. Then Jing Jing jumps in front of them saying how fun it was. Tang Shu wonder what exactly is the matter with her? Why is she so capricious, selfish and outlaw? He bets that in her heart she is not happy at all. She's just torturing herself everyday by doing these dumb things. She tells him that she likes to and she starts to diss Bao Long by saying how big of an idiot she is. Tang Shu laughs and tells her that she can rely on getting Ying Feng. In this world besides her parents and those followers of hers she probably doesn't have any true friends at all. Does she know why? Because she's not one bit cute. In his life he has never seen someone more pitiful than her. Not being able to take this anymore. She raises her hands, but Tang Shu isn't afraid and continues. He knows that Jing Jing can't think of anything to say to get back at him and so she is going to go find her mafia dad to help her get revenge, is he right? Jing Jing has nothing to say, since it is true, and just looks away with an annoyed face. There are only 3 words to describe her, "not loved by anyone." (well in Chinese they can say that in 3 words, but in English is has to be 4 hehe ^.^;;;;) She opens her mouth to say "you..." but nothing else is able to come out and Tang Shu laughs, knowing that he has won. She walks to the elevator madly and furiously clicks on the buttons. She enters the elevator and leaves. Worried, Bao Long runs down to try and catch her.

Jing Jing is ranting as Bao Long is silently walking behind her. Then he tells her that Tang Shu is actually a really nice person. Jing Jing stops him from continuing because she doesn't want to hear it. So Bao Long changes the subject and asks Jing Jing why she likes Ying Feng. She answers that liking someone is liking someone, there's no reason why. But that is exactly what he needs to know in order to be able to heal her heartaches. She replies that he can't even heal his own heartaches, so how can he heal hers? They are silent for awhile. Then Bao Long says that he remembers that there was a cruel boy in his class during high school. When he was taking an exam the boy wanted him to help him cheat. He didn't promise him so the boy threatened to beat him up. Jing Jing laughs, it would have been good if he had met her early because he wouldn't have to be scared. He doesn't comment on that and just continues with his story. At the moment that I needed to compromise Jia Le appeared. He still doesn't understand how Jia Le can hold such courage. He'll always remember that day when she steadily talked to that classmate to get justice. Jia Le said that just because you got it, doesn't mean you have it. Afterwards they finally came to an agreement. Bao Long will help the boy cheat. That boy got a 60% on that exam. He took it again next year and entered a mathematics school. Jing Jing rolls her eyes and asks him why he's telling her this. He wants he to know that obtaining something doesn't mean you posses it. Even if she is able to get Ying Feng, it doesn't matter because he doesn't like her. Jing Jing gets pissed when she hears this and starts to leave. Bao Long shouts to her that he will be cooperating with her, but he is willing to be friends. She stops and turns around. She shouts back that she doesn't need a friend that's such an idiot like him and turns back around to leave. He yells back that he knows he's a real idiot. He has done a lot of things for Jia Le and got nothing in return. However she's a bigger idiot. She's always saying she wants Ying Feng, but has she done anything for him? How can he like her? She turns around again. How does he know she hasn't done anything? Not everything is what you see.

Ying Feng is at home cleaning his lighter. His phone rings, it's Jia Le. She tells him to turn on the TV to see their new product. Jia Le and Xiao Zheng get ready to broadcast the commercial. Ying Feng turns on his TV and sees the commercial. Ying Feng doesn't look too happy about it. The product sells really well and they receive many phone calls after the commercial broadcasted. Both Jia Le and Xiao Zheng are very happy at their success. The boss is also very thrilled. Hao Ge calls Jia Le and she tells him that the product is doing fantastic and thanks him. Meanwhile, Ying Feng arrives at Shopping More looking like he's in a bad mood. Jia Le happily goes to Ying Feng's desk, where he's sitting at and looking down, with a file in her hands. Without looking up at her, he asks her why she did not ask him first before doing the commercial. She wanted to give him a surprise. Without his permission she just went ahead and put it in the market, is that the so called surprise she was talking about? Still smiling she tells him that she knew that he would agree. She walks over to him and explains to him what a success it was. She puts the file down and happily says she has fulfilled his wish. When has he ever said that this was his wish? Her smile fades away at his outburst. She tells him that Ma Ye told her. He angrily gets up and tells her it's not that he was never able to, he never wanted to sell it in the first place. They are silent for a moment. Jia Le tells him what Ma Ye said. Ying Feng has no idea what she's talking about, all he knows is that she decided on her own without asking for his opinion. She pouts and then goes over to him and apologizes. She just wanted to help the company sell a new product. Well this "new" product of theirs, he'll definitely not buy. Why not? She has worked so hard and he hasn't even said one compliment. She really thinks that this product will sell. Seeing that she still hasn't gotten his point, he starts to leave. Jia Le shouts that she doesn't understand. This can help people but he wouldn't buy it. He has to go buy the products that lie to people, like the Valentine's Day product. He turns around shocked at her words. To her it might be a product that lies, but he thinks it's a dream.

Hao Ge is entering Ma Ye's house. He is on the phone with Jia Le. She wants him to cancel the product, but Hao Ge tells her it's impossible, he just spent lots of money on it. If Ying Feng comes to find him he'll take care of it. All she has to do is sell her tea. After hanging up he asks one of his followers about something. The guy tells him that the fastest will be half a month. Half a month might be too late. But Hao Ge asks him about the packaging of the tea and to quickly sell it all or it'll be too late. He takes an envelope and walks to Ma Ye's room. He hands Ma Ye some papers with information on Mei Yun Jie. He tells Ma Ye that Yun Jie has a story because every time he brings up the past she would act weird.

Hao Ge is at May Pub. Yun Jie and Hao Ge are talking happily. When Hao Ge mentions that she is great with computers Yun Jie's smile fades away. Then laughing and taking the empty beer bottles back to the counter, she says that she has no idea what he's talking about. Oh really? Hao Ge wonders why a mother would leave his son for no reason. Yun Jie trying to pull it off, laughs again saying that he must be talking about the wrong person. So Hao Ge takes his envelope and takes out some papers. These papers contained information on Bao Long's parents and her. If Bao Long knows about this truth and that his mother is working at a pub, what do you think his reaction would be? Yun Jie asks him what he wants. He will keep his lips zipped if she is willing to give him $5 million. Is he crazy? How does he expect her to have $5 million when she only has this small pub? Hao Ge knows that she doesn't have the $5 million, but he wants $5 million. He leaves his phone number and tells her to call him in a week. He also leaves the information for her to read. After he leaves she takes a look at the information and rips them all up in frustration.
