You Remind Me

Have you ever just glimpsed someone out of the corner of your eye, and thought, Wow!!! Hot??? I have. I know that this person is never going to be in my life, and I don’t think about him very often, but every time I see him, I allow myself to dream a little. I don’t know who this man is. I don’t know anything about him. I did once hear him speak, and I almost melted. He has that wonderful dark brown velvet voice, quality that leaves me weak at the knees. This is what I think about whenever I catch a glimpse. Do you ever dream about someone who is never going to be in your life? Let me know and I’ll write you a poem about him or her.

You Remind Me.
By Amanda Jay Clark.

You remind me of a sunrise,
Alive with golden glow.
An exciting body of water,
Eddies through your flow.
With eyes like polished marble,
And a smile, shy yet bright,
Is it any wonder that,
You set my heart alight?
You make my body quiver,
With your deep brown velvet voice.
I watch you from a distance,
I have no other choice.
Your splendour and magnificence,
Are there for all to see.
Yet, no matter how I try,
You never notice me.
It’s said that no one’s perfect.
Are you really how you seem?
If you’re too good to be true,
Then you must be just a dream.
