
4 cups peeled and sliced tart apples 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 cup water 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 stick butter or margarine, softened 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows Vanilla ice cream 2-quart baking dish. Spread apples and raisins evenly in bottom of dish. Pour in water. Stir together flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a bowl; cut in butter or margarine, using a pastry blender or 2 knives, until mixture is coarse and crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture. Bake in 350-degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until light golden brown and bubbly. Remove from oven. Adjust oven rack to highest position and turn control to broil. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over hot mixture. Return to oven and broil 1 minute, or until marshmallows are light golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Enjoy |
