Varial kickflip:This trick is basically a shuv-it and a kickflip in one, a 180 flip where you don't turn with the board. So you should really have your kickflip and shuv-it down. The best positions to have your feet in are about the same as a kickflip (your back foot having its heel off the toe side of the board at about 30-45 degree angle and your back foot on the tail). Your tail needs to pop the tail down and your front foot needs to do two jobs, fistly push the board forwards (whilst your back foot is pushing backwards) to get the shuv-it motion, and then whilst the board is about 45 degrees round, your front foot needs to kick the top left corner in order to spin the board in a kickflip motion. When first learning the trick practise spinning, because this is possibly the hardest part, then start landing 1 footed and finally try two footed. If landed well this trick looks really good. Land smoothly and ride off cooly.
