| B/S Half-Cab:This trick is basically a fakie 180 ollie, which sounds hard, but in actual fact isn't a very challenging trick. Your feet need to be in ollie stance, or whatever position your feet feel comfortable in for a 180. You need to be going at a comfortable pace (everyone is different), but when first practising this trick you should try going slow, also you should be used to the fakie stance, and maybe only getting a 90 degree spin. When going at pace that suits you, you need to bend your knees and get ready to swing your arms the way you are spinning, and to push your feet the way you are spinning. Again for this trick you should use your whole body to help you spin 180 degrees. Once crouched you should pop and slide your front foot to the top of the nose, and your back foot to the bolts. Push on the nose and level out the board while pushing your arms and feet forwards, into the spin, it is quite easy to get a bit of height on this trick, but don't go over the top whilst learning. If you don't get the full 180 spin then try pivoting the rest of the way round, although it looks better to get the full 180. If you get this trick properly it does look sweet so work on it. Land smoothly and ride away cooly. |
