Biographical Information

Inducom Professional Services was created October 1987 in the city of Sheffield, United Kingdom. In the beginning Inducom was purely an Industrial Photographic company set up to fill a gap in the market. Inducom then as now specialised in taking photographs that were either not commercially viable for the in house photographers employed by the steel works or taking pictures of structures & vehicles so large that normal equipment & know how was unavailable to most of the current commercial photographers.

Since 1987, Inducom has had to diversify and one of the projects that are now covered can be found in the mega clubs that have emerged and grown up around the country. Originally photographing individual clientele for internal promotions, but now photographing people on the dance floor covered with sheets of fluorescent and laser light. These are then digitally manipulated to remove the individual personality and create an overall effect to accentuate the mood of the event and to produce photographic artwork for multimedia advertisements to use in posters and on the Internet.

The Future

Inducom started by using traditional large & medium format cameras, but with the massive improvement with film emulsions and digital camera resolutions, Inducom now mainly uses 35mm & digital hand held cameras. This way we can still produce high quality results at cost-effective prices and with the added bonus of being more manoeuvrable and have the ability to change and have a more flexible approach.

With the added digital manipulation & digital enhancement techniques now available we can reduce the turn around time significantly & therefore produce more work in less time. Profits may be shrinking but productivity is growing. As to the future, we are now producing less photographic work but more digital photographic artwork and although this is removing a lot of the original skills required in the photographic business, new digital manipulative ones are now required. Therefore the future is Digital.
