Notes for Philip Fensteracher
He was accompanied to the New World by his wife and son John on the ship "Samuel".
Took oath of Allegiance on August 30, 1737.
At an early date he acquired valuable land on which in later years iron ore was found in large quantities. He carried on a general store business in Alburtis, Pa. until he died in 1790. In 1767, the proprietary returns show him as owner of 150 acres, and in 1779 his holdings were 250 acres. He also owned land in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.
Philip and his wife are buried in the old graveyard adjoining the Longswamp Church of which they were faithful member for many years.
