This was our first event cache, and we had a blast! It was located at the Osceola National Forest about an hour and a half drive for us, but it was soooo worth it! We finally got to meet all the cachers we'd been talking to through our logs and the forum...

We convoyed through the park (some with 4WDs others treating their 2WDs as if they were 4WDs!!!) *Including us...* lol. When we got as close as we could to each cache we then all got out of our cars and hiked as a group to find it. We really enjoyed the hikes... Mrs.CC's new waterproof hiking boots held up awesomely!

This park is about 200,000 acres of beautiful Florida nature... We're so glad we came with the group because we don't think we would have been able to find our way around this huge area! There was still alot of standing water and fallen trees due to the hurricanes, but none of that stopped us... except on two caches... On one a pool of water was just way too deep and so the 2WDs took a longer way around to the cache, and on another too deep "puddle" we parked to the side and jumped into a fellow cacher's jeep. We ended up with 18 new finds for a days worth of caching.

We also CITOed the area (which was another first for us.) We had such a great time sloshing through the water and mud, caching with old friends, and meeting a lot of new ones.
