No. 31 The Federation Must Pay by Paintficition (8-14-04)
I went caching with Caraloopy on the day after hurricane Charley passed our area. The weather was beautiful compared to the day before, and since it was a Saturday, we had no problem finding caches near businesses since they were closed. Except for this one! This cache is located right smack dab in the middle of a downtown business area filled with shops and restaraunts. A fountain with lion statues sits in the middle of a busy intersection and contains a tupperware sized cache. But where does it contain it? ha ha ha.... Look at the photos and you'll see what I mean. As Caraloopy and I tried to get the cache out, it seemed as though the lion was "blocked up." The cache was so lodged in there that I couldn't get it out after minutes of trying to wiggle it free. Finally, Caraloopy gave it a try, and after a few swift kicks to the portruding plastic container, it loosened and we were able to get it out. We knew people that were eating at the restaraunts were probably wondering what the heck we were doing, but we were not going to let this cache get away from us! We were laughing the whole time we were trying to get the cache out, and continued laughing about this find the entire day. I will never forget this cache!
