I just wanted to write a note and say that I taught Chantel for a year at Gibbons school, and she was also on my basketball teamIt was my first year teaching, and I got really close to a lot of kids that I taught and coached that year. Chantel always brought a special joy to our class and team. She id everyhting with determination, and a smile on her face. She was both a wonderful young lady on the outside as well as the inside, and had a confidence that was very evident on how she carried herself. There are many students that hold a place in my heart from that first year, and Chantel is one of them. I had someone call me regarding the accident, and they said that they were sprry that I knew the girls involved. I told them that I was not sorry, but happy, that I knew Chantel. It has made me a better person, teacher, and coach for knowing her....
