My name is Sarah Gordon and I’m a 22 year old senior at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. I’m preparing to graduate (in a year or so) with a marketing major and, like every other college graduate out there, I haven’t figured out what in the world I’m going to do after I get that sacred piece of paper. I’m a basketball player and played for the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga until I transferred to Truman State. I guess I should explain how I fit into this grand wedding scheme. I am the baby of the Gordon/Tate clan and Kristin is my oldest cousin (sorry Kris, but you are :) ) I grew up spending weekends with her and the rest of our family at our Grandpa’s house in Meadville. We spent countless hours playing at the park, and when weather forced us inside we would play bingo and Barbie dolls.
Instead of the typical well wishes and happiness to all, my special thought came from a wedding shower I attended. One of the ladies from the church offered this advice to the bride-to-be: “When you’re married, your mad pants come on just as fast as your happy pants come off.”
