Paul Graf, Groomsman

Hello, my name Paul and I met Shedluv my first year at Purdue; sometime late in 1997.  My friend Nick’s older brother Brady lived with another guy named Kris. Kris and Brady had known Shed for a while and the three of them would throw exquisite parties on the south side of campus. Good times rolled. The following year Kris and Brady graduated and left town. Much sadness would ensue. 1998-99 was much the same, but we missed our friends Brady and Kris. Shedluv got the idea to go visit Kris in Cincinnati one fine September morning and I jumped at the chance to go with. This is when I suppose Shed and I became friends, or better than just drinking buddies.

He also introduced me to wine. We would spend nights selecting and sampling all kinds of great stuff. Enough to fill a dorm room with the empties which was the style at the time, keeping empties not the drinking. He sold me my first high end car stereo and would show me exactly what the word deafening meant. He is singly responsible for a good portion of my hearing loss. One day in August of 2001 Shed did me huge solid. My house had flooded over the summer and Shed allowed me to live in his place for a month. I know few others that would have done that for me, I am still grateful.

I am honored to be part of Kristin and Matt’s wedding. I can’t wait to see them again. Congratulations you two and let the good times roll!
